Advantages: Easy to create different hairstyles and they look pretty!

Disadvantages: Expensive and can dry out hair

I've had my purple GHDs for about eight months, and I love them! I got them as a gift and they came in a lovely purple velvet box including the straighteners, a hairdyer, hair clips and a travel bag for your GHDs which folds out into a heat-proof mat.
The straighteners themselves have a pretty flowerly pattern on them which is much more appealing than the original black design. However, it's not all about looks, I havn't had a single problem with them since I've had them (my first pair of GHDs started sparking and completely stopped working).
What I like about the new GHDs (mark 4) is that they turn off after half an hour, so I don't have to worry when I go out that I've left them on!
Also, I find it much easier to create different hair styles with these straighters than the old version, because they seem alot smoother and the wire doesn't twist up when I try and curl my hair.
I find that GHDs are the only straighteners that will tame my wavey hair, probably because of the high temperatures they reach. Whilst this makes my hair nice and straight, I would definatly recommend you use protective hair products as they can damage and dry out your hair.
