an organic shampoo by Green People

I have been using a new shampoo lately as I sometimes change the one I'm using every so often. I had decided to try an organic one for a change and so I went for this Moisturising Shampoo by Green People, I came across them online and they have been going since 1997, and create a wide range of natural products and it is now one of the UK leaders of organic products. They have quite a few different products and I suppose for anyone with sensitive skin or allergies, Green People may be a good brand to find out about but for me the shampoo was the first product I decided to try as I quite like the idea of a natural shampoo.

      PACKAGING

This shampoo comes in a 200ml upside down squeezy tube, it is simple in design and I like that about it as I feel it symbolises the brand quite well. It is white and has the Green People logo on the side as well as the product name and ingredients listed on this too, it is a shampoo for detangling and hydrating thick or frizzy hair, my hair is more thick than anything. The downside of these products is probably the price of them but it is made with organic aloe vera, neroli, orange and chamomile which is quite a nice combination from reading it. All very natural and it seems to promise a lot, it is a running yellow transparent liquid which is just as normal as any other shampoo.

      GREEN PEOPLE MOISTURISING SHAMPOO

Now, to begin with this shampoo aims to do a lot of things, they say a little goes a long way with it and I'd say this depends on the length of your hair as my hair is quite long. It says it has a sensual, exotic aroma and I would say it is pleasant, to me this comes across as having quite a citrus scent to it which will obviously be because of the orange in it but I like the smell of it and the fact it is very natural. The shampoo aims to cleanse and condition hair leaving it healthy and nourished and it uses natural oils to moisturise hair and the scalp to make hair much more manageable and detangling it along the way, I have now been using this for a good few months.

As I said before it is a yellow transparent liquid, quite runny, I use a good sized amount maybe larger than a 2p coin and I wash it into my hair, I find that it doesn't lather as much as a non organic shampoo but this was expected. However, the fact that it still does is great and it makes my hair feel clean, I always use a comb while using this shampoo so cannot 100% prove that the shampoo itself detangles but it does make my hair manageable while in the shower. The smell is a nice aroma not too strong but pleasant and it doesn't irritate my skin which is great with me suffering from sensitive skin so I do like using this product.

Since I have been using this shampoo I have found it lasts a good few months if you buy the 200ml tube. It has made my hair feel good and look shiny and it isn't as tangled as it used to be, I do feel using the comb with the shampoo does help quite a lot. This shampoo is made without SLS/SLES, alcohol (ethyl alcohol, ethanol), parabens, phthalates and artificial fragrance creating a much more natural and pure product which is why it is more pricey but also good for you at the same time. This shampoo is 82% certified organic and it is suitable for vegans and vegetarians and it includes fairly traded ingredients and my hair always smells great after using this.

I think if you have sensitive skin or like to buy organic beauty products then Green People have created a great product here. I opted for the Moisturising Shampoo as for my hair type it seems to work well but they do quite a few different products. I know it is a lot more expensive than most shampoo, especially considering you only get 200ml but if it works for you and you are pleased with the results, like I am then it isn't too bad and it does work well. I have purchased this shampoo again since buying the first one and it is good they also sell it in a 30ml travel size if you want to take it away on holiday with you which is great.

      COST

To buy this shampoo you can purchase it from the Green People website where they are selling a 200m tube of this for £10.95 which isn't the cheapest but they do a points system which is good.
