All in all not the best straighteners. They are good straighteners if they are not to be used reguarly but for regular users these are not ideal. I ended up buying the GHD's in the end......but thats another story!...more

I bought my pair of Hairtools Thermo Ceramic straighteners after deliberating over a pair of GHDs, and deciding a could not justify spending close to £100...the reviews on here helped, and now having owned my Hairtools for about 4 months, I thought I would add my own thoughts. These straighteners are absolutely amazing. With pale coloured ceramic plates measuring 2.5cm by 9cm, I was abit surprised when I opened them up and found them to be so small. But although they may be tiny, they are totally mighty! I have incredibly thick frizzy unmanageable hair, and have been through the Babyliss "straight and shine with a shot of steam", followed by ...  Read the complete review

I love these straighteners! When I was looking to buy ceramic straighteners I wasn't sure if I should buy these or not. The reason I doubted them was that they are really cheap compared to other ceramic straighteners on the market, so I was quite vary of them being effective. But I wasn't prepared to pay £80+ for ghd and the reviews I'd read were excellent, so I just went for it! I've never looked back since. I bought mine from www.retailjunky.com. They were the cheapest ones I'd found at £39.95 (plus £2.95 p&). Most other sites, including www.asos.com have them at £55, so it's still reasonably cheap. Mine arrived within a week and I ...  Read the complete review

Last year my friend at work brought in her Charles Worthington Straighteners as she was out on the tiles that night. She has a caucasian afro, but these straighteners were really effective on her hair with the big plates straightening a big section of hair. So that evening I went down to Boots and bought a pair of my own. They were fine for a couple of months, but soon, flaws started to show. The plates had come loose and started to trap and singe my hair. Also the lock began to stick and I couldn't open them. I decided to invest in a new pair of straighteners, so put the oldies in the back of my wardrobe and gave my hair a rest. I had a look on the ...  Read the complete review

When my friend came into Loco’s for a drink... I noticed something strange about her! It took me a while to work out what but then I realised that her usually kinky hair was polka straight... even though it was raining outside, which as most girls know equals double kinkiness and frizziness. When I questioned how great her hair was looking she then went on to reveal her secret.... Hairtools Ceramic Thermo Hair Straighteners! Another look at her hair and I knew my hair needed some as well! I managed to find a pair on the Internet @ www.ukhairdressers.com for the bargainous price of £49. In most high street shops or online from stores such as ...  Read the complete review

I bought my Hair Tools Thermo-Ceramic straighteners in May of 2003, and I finally discovered the joys of hair as if "you just stepped out of the salon"! I remember I had my hair cut, coloured and straightened in a salon and from that day on I went in search of the same kind of ceramic straighteners. I found them online at missgroovy.co.uk, and purchased them immediately! They cost me £50, and I remember using them for the first time, and feeling really quite smug as I walked outside with perfect, poker straight hair. My hair is very fine, and when I looked more deeply into straighteners, I realised that buying these straighteners instead ...  Read the complete review
