Advantages: Doesn't damage hair, leaves it shiny, Small + light + easy to use, Heats up in about 15 secs
Disadvantages: A bit expensive at £50
Everyone has been going on about these GHD Ceramic Straighteners, but they cost a hell of a lot so I thought I'd try something cheaper. So I bought some HAIR TOOLS CERAMIC STRAIGHTENERS. I have thick, dry, v. curly hair and all the straighteners I have bought in the shops (a total of 4!) haven't worked very well. I bought them from WWW.UKHAIRDRESSERS.COM for just under £50 and P&P is free. They were dispatched as soon as they'd received my cheque. These are the only straighteners that have worked well for me and I've tried 4 straighteners from the shops. With the Hair Tools ones my hair looks even shinier than before and is DEAD STRAIGHT!!! I would recommend these straighteners to EVERYONE, save yourself some cash and buy these (unless your hair is seriously afro then maybe the GHD ones are better??). Most salons online charged about £55 for the Hair Tools Straighteners but ukhairdressers.com were the cheapest.

- 03/09/03 Thanks. On the basis of this and Goldlox's reveiw I ordered and received mine last week with a free bottle of protector. I am so impressed with these compared to my old Babyliss. The two things that have stood out is that it is so much easier doing the back and they straighten much quicker.
So far I have been sensible enough not to use them daily like I did with the Babyliss.

- 13/03/03 Hiya and welcome. A little more about the product would have got a higher rating from me, things like do they have steam? do they take long to heat up? do they take long to do your hair with? are they awkward to hold? etc.
Have fun here at dooyoo! |

- 12/03/03 I am pining, at the moment, for some GHD straighteners. I know they are pricey but have yet to hear a bad word about them.
If you update I would love to know how long it took compared to your previous straighteners and if your hair is very long? Would also like to know if they snag your hair like my Toni & Guy ones do at the moment?
I have heard Hair Tools are good but people who seem to have used both rate GHD better. Let me know if you do update, and welcome to dooyoo from another newish member!! |
