Finding a good shampoo is increasingly difficult. One that you won't use it consistantly and it just makes your hair become dull and hard and one that is also affordable and works well.
Having extremely thick hair I always have problems finding a suitable shampoo. I've tried loads of variations and different brands but finally decided to settle on the classic Head & Shoulders '2 in 1'. Not because I have dandruff but basically because I was pleased to find a shampoo that offered a shampoo and a conditioner all in one for about the same price as just a bottle of shampoo had cost me

for previously used brands such as Tresemme. Head & Shoulders has been around since the late 1950s and has spawned a variety of different shampoos under its name for all different types of hair. The '2 in 1 Classic Clean' is aimed particulary at getting rid of dandruff and leaving a softer scalp and hair.

It comes in a 400ml bottle for about £3.75 and roughly lasts about a month and a half for me if I use it everyday. The bottle is white and not really big on the eye catching side like some other brands but the 'Head & Shoulders' brand is easily visbile and it has a blue cap.s On the back are the usual pieces of information about a beauty product - such as what it does etc. I was a bit worried at first when I found out that H&S products had a PH of about 8 which is far too strong for the hair, though this product prides itself on having a gentle pH-balanced formula.

The shampoo itself is a white colour with a sort of fruity smell. I haven't been able to place it yet but it does make the hair smell really nice. I've found it's one of those shampoos where you can occasionally actually get a scent of it during the day. The shampoo is easy to apply and easy to rinse out as wel. It doesn't linger in the hair or make your hair cotty or hard to comb afterwards and really does come through on its promise to leave your hair feeling soft and smooth [though I've yet to be convinced on the shiny part they all have on the adverts].

What I find works best is that as its a 2 in 1 forumla is that it saves less time if you're in a hurry in the morning you don't have to mess around afterwards applying a separate conditioner and the price as mentioned is exceptionally good for a shampoo brand and the size of the product. I think also at the moment there's also an offer on the product in Superdrug where you can a 2nd half price.

Overall whilst not really an amazing and attractive product the classic H&S shampoo works brilliantly and a lot better than some of the more 'hyped up' products out there.
