Advantages: gets rid of dandruff
Disadvantages: stop using and it comes back
Gone are the days when going to the supermarket to buy hair shampoo were easy. Now when you go there are shelves and shelves full of different brands. I always stick to my usual brand of Head and Shoulders, but even this isn’t easy anymore. Do I choose the one with extra volume? (NO definately not) dry hair? greasy hair? classic clean? or 2 in 1 with conditioner? After careful consideration I decided to buy the 2 in 1. The head and shoulders bottle is mainly white with a blue flip up lid. The front of the bottle has a small blue egg shape in the middle and printed over it in metallic blue is h&s. Nearer the top of the bottle in black letter it says Head and Shoulders. Near the bottom of the bottle it tells you what type it is. This particular bottle says 2 in 1. Anti-dandruff shampoo and conditioner classic clean for frequent use. The back of the bottle tells you some details of what the shampoo actually does. The shampoo and conditioning system fights dandruff and leaves your hair clean and conditioned without buildup. They tell you that it has immediate action because head and shoulders’ zinc pyrithione based formula starts working on the cause of dandruff from the 1st wash. They tell you that the best way of using Head and shoulders to eliminate dandruff and prevent it reacurring is to use it every time you shampoo your hair. The gentle P.H balanced formula is suitable for every day use. They provide a little graph on the back that shows the more you use head and shoulders the less dandruff you will have. The ingredients are also printed on the back of the bottle which you should read and if you are allergic to any of the ingredients then you should not use the product. Head and shoulders comes in different sized bottles. My one is 200ml but they are available in 500ml and 550ml. The price varys depending on where you buy it from and what size bottle you have, but it is between £1.50 and £4.50. The lid flips up and
you need to gently squeeze the bottle for the shampoo to come out. It is quite a thick liquid coloured light blue. The bottle tells you to apply to the scalp and hair ensuring full coverage from root to tip. Gently massage in. Rinse, and repeat if desired. I have found that I don’t need to use alot of this as it lathers up really well, I just put a small amount in the palm of my hand. It rinses out well and I do not need to repeat it. After drying my hair it looks soft and shiny and feels great. I usually need to wash my hair every other day when using Head and shoulders. They have a web site. www.headandshoulders.com and they provide telephone numbers for you to give comments. GB 0800 7312892 IRL 1800 409066 RSA 0800 001959 I have used Head and shoulders for over a year now. Before I started using it I had a terrible flaky scalp, but this has gone now. I had tried using many other shampoos that claimed to be gentle on the scalp and that were supposed to eliminate dandruff but they just didn’t work. I did stop using it for a few weeks though while i tried something else and the dandruff did come back I now don't use anything else.I can wear black tops again without the snowy shoulders look. I would recommend Head and shoulders to other people.

- 10/01/04 I don't have dandruff, but I stayed at a friends house once and need to wash my hair and this was all they had so I used it anyway, I left my hair feeling lovely. I now often buy just because I like the way my hair feels after. |
