Advantages: Great for hot weather, consistently good anti-dandruff shampoo
Disadvantages: How hot does it get in the UK?
Well, its summer again and time to find ways to keep cool. Of course, you in the UK may not find the need as pressing as I do (here in Israel), but certainly if you're off to some hot spot, you might find interest in this product.
My family and I have been using Head & Shoulders products for many, many years. My husband uses the one for greasy hair, I use either the one for dry/damaged hair or the one for extra fullness, and we've both used the 2 in 1 when we travel (so we don't need two bottles).
But it was my son who decided to try their Natural Menthol shampoo, and I must admit that I was wary. Why on earth would anyone want to use a menthol shampoo? The idea just seemed strange to me. Then I thought, well, why not? The truth is when you finish using this shampoo you will have a lovely cool refreshing feeling on your head - as if you're under a fan without the draft.
Now, as I mentioned before, I live in Israel where the weather is hot, so this is a clear advantage for me. And as for the minty scent, one might think this a bit off-putting. However, you can hardly detect it after your hair is dry, so there is no distracting "minty after-taste" there.
This product produces a good head of lather with the usual amount of the shampoo. And this is when you really can smell the mint in the product - when you're lathering up. I was sure that this would seem weird since one associates mint with cool, and my showers are invariably STEAMY, but it didn't seem strange in the least. In fact, it was very pleasant.
I felt no difference in the texture of my hair after using this product vs. using any of the other Head & Shoulder's products, so no problem there. My hair felt clean and soft and manageable. And since it is a Head & Shoulders product, it will control your dandruff equally as well as all their other products.
The packaging is much the same as the rest of their line - but with extra green Mint leaves on it, to distinguish it from their other-scented products. The shampoo within is, however, the same silky blue color that we've all come to associate with anti-dandruff shampoos.
So, in conclusion, when it gets hot or if you're going to a hot country for a visit, this might be the Head & Shoulder's product you'd want to take with you. Think about it, and COOL IT!
Thanks for reading!
