Head & Shoulders Anti-Dandruff Shampoo Normal 400ml
Advantages: Gets rid of dandruff
I noticed quite a few dandruff flakes on my sons head so grabbed a bottle of Head and Shoulders, there were a few in the range to choose from but I just bought the shampoo for normal hair. It's a good job I got in in as I noticed flakes on my own head too. It's not that cheap, at the moment Tesco have the classic version selling at £2.99 for 250ml but I paid less than this in Home Bargains. In the past I've used cheap versions which do work but not as quickly.
The shampoo comes in a white plastic bottle that's easy to spot on the shelf. The lid has a flip top with a pour control hole. The shampoo itself contains 'HydraZinc formula to fight dandruff'. It smells nice of shampoo- if that makes sense- and is thick and creamy. It's mild enough to use everyday and suitable for all the family.
You use it in the same way as ordinary shampoo. After applying to wet hair massage it in to the hair and scalp then rinse off. The shampoo has a thick consistency and I only needed a small amount to get a good lather, it then washed off easy enough. During rinsing my hair felt soft- sometimes shampoo can leave my hair feeling dry and tangled when wet but this shampoo didn't, I didn't need conditioner. My hair and scalp felt clean and not irritated in anyway.
Did it work:
Yes I was surprised by the results, my sons hair was more or less flake free after one go- several more washes and his head was completely flake free. For me one wash was sufficient as I only had mild dandruff to start with.
Would I recommend:
Yes because it works. We don't use it all the time just when necessary to keep dandruff at bay.
Summary: Leaves hair feeling clean and soft
