When you think of anti-dandruff shampoo, head and shoulders is usually the first brand that pops into your head. Having suffered a bit with dandruff in my teens, my Mum bought me this to try and help and I am still using it 10 years later.
*Price and availability*
This smooth and silky version of Head and Shoulders shampoo is widely available. It can be found in supermarkets, drug stores, discount stores and on line. I usually wait until I see it on offer as it can be a little pricey. It costs around £3 for a 250ml bottle, or around £4 for a 400ml bottle. It sometimes comes on offer for 2 bottles for £5 or 2 bottles for £6. In my local discount shop if I have a rummage through the shelves I sometimes find a big bottle for £2 but it isn't that often this happens!
*Appearance and packaging*
It comes in a regular plastic bottle with a flip top cap. It has a simple design but has a splash of pink on it to show it is the 'smooth and silky' version. The actual shampoo is white in colour with a hint of blue. It is lovely and thick, not watery like some shampoos.
You use it like any other shampoo. Dollop a blob in your hand and rub it through your hair then rinse out. I never do this process more than once, although you can repeat it if you wish.
It definitely helped improve my dandruff when I was younger. It prevented my hair from getting greasy quickly too. I like to use the smooth and silky version as it does what it says on the bottle. I tend to have a bit of frizzyness occurring at the ends of my hair and this shampoo calms it down.
I do love this shampoo. My hair always feels fresh and squeeky clean after using it and I'll continue buying it until it gets discontinued.
