Over the years I have changed my hair colour more times than I care to remember. First there was very deep chestnut red, then black. After that I tried I added a whole range of colours that were supposed to enhance my red/brown hair. Some results were startling, to say the least, and others required the wearing of a hat until the mess could be sorted out.

My first attempt at blonde went dreadfully wrong. This was in the days of peroxide bleach and a plastic cap. (That's all you needed and it was very cheap.) My hair never quite got past the 'light orange' stage as there was too much red in it for the peroxide alone to deal with. I gave up on the idea of 'going blonde' until a friend suggested that I try Herbal Essences Lite Blonde. The results were amazing. You simply apply this product to dry hair and it doesn't drip. Put a towel round your shoulders to protect your clothing and wait 45 minutes.

My hair was gorgeous blonde! I must admit that it had gone almost white so perhaps I left the product on a few minutes too long. Anyway, I didn't recognise myself in the mirror. I used the same product to touch up the roots every three weeks, or so. My hair is glossy and shiney and I don't need to use extra conditioner. I would recommend this product to anybody who wants to find out if blondes really do have more fun.
