Advantages: Silky, soft hair. Smells gorgeous and looks good. Great price

Disadvantages: none

I bought this to take on my holiday (1 week on Sunday, can't wait!)
At home I usually use seperate shampoos and conditioners but I always end up taking so many lotions and potions on holiday a 2 in 1 like this saves a bit of room!
The bottle also seems quite small, definitely enough for a weeks holiday though. Its 200ml, a nice dinky size that won't take up too much room in my already bulging toiletries bag.

I got this for a bargain price too, 99p from my local Bodycare shop. I've used Herbal essences before and always been pleased with the results so thought i'd give this a try.

Now you're probably wondering how i'm going to review it if its for my holidays, well we ran out of shampoo last night so I had to use it then!

~~The bottle~~
Its a clear bottle and the liquid inside is a pale lilac colour, this is also see through and through it you can see a picture of sprigs of lavender (this is printed on the inside of the bottle at the back) Very pretty!

On the front of the bottle (so in front of the pic as you look at it) There is the Herbal Essences branding and a purple stripe which says 'Normal Hair' under this it says 'Refreshing, Shampoo plus conditioner' in small white writing.

On the back are the usual promises of gorgeous hair, this one claims to be 'infused with the extracts of lavender, jasmine and aloe vera that come to us in pure mountain spring water' Sounds very posh and promising!
The combination of these ingredients promise to:
* Leave hair renewed and refreshed
* Promote silkiness and lustre
* Leave hair feeling luxuriously soft and silky

Directions for use:
Massage your hair into a luxurious lather and enjoy the revitalizing fragrance. Rinse when ready.

~~The shampoo~~
The bottle has an easy to open lid and as soon as you pop it open the smell of lavender hits you.
I squeexed a blob onto my hand and could smell the slighty floral smell of jasmine coming through too. Its a gorgeous smell which i'm glad about a I like my hair to smell nice and expect this from Herbal Essences.

I rubbed it into my hair and was surprised at the amount of foam I got, sometimes with 2 in 1's there isn't as much as with just shampoo.
The smell gets stronger as you massage it into your hair.

**I must add I was a bit dissapointed though; yes I enjoyed the smell but the women on the adverts seem to get more out of it than me (you know the one; the women seeming to have shampoo induced orgasms in the shower) maybe I didn't use it right....**

So I rinsed my hair, giving up hope of the pleasure i'd been promised lol.
All the foam washed out really easy and I could feel there was no sticky residue left, my hair just felt squeaky clean.

After I'd dried my hair I was surprised by how silky it was, usually straight after washing my hair its a bit fly away and I need serum to tame it but this made my hair look like i'd already applied serum; really shiny and silky.
It felt lovely too, so soft and no tangles (my hairs long and without a seperate conditioner can get tangled) but this left it in perfect condition and easy to brush through.
I could also still smell the lovely scent when I moved my head and my hair swished about!

I usually wash my hair every other night but with this I went 2 nights without washing it as it still looked and smelt so clean; this may be down to the fact I didn't feel the need to apply serum or any other product to it.

So all in all, a fantastic shampoo and conditioner for 'normal' hair.
The bottle looks pretty (important in my bathroom) the product works really well and it smells fantastic (though not quite orgasmic)
All for the bargain price of 99p, I think it costs around £2 in other shops for this sized bottle which is still not bad for a 2 in 1.

Summary: My new favourite shampoo, must save the rest for my holidays!
