After seeing the adverts for Herbal Essences more times than I care to remember, I decided to try these products when they were brought out in the new packaging. Seeing them in my local supermarket at £1 each I thought I would give it a shot. I normally use relatively good haircare - usually over £4-5 a bottle so I figured if this was good it would be a great saving to my monthly beauty spend.

The shampoo is a bright blue colour which instantly put me off as it obviously contains a heck of a lot of chemical colourants. It does smell quite nice but not as punchy as I had hoped. It lathers really well (again due to the synthetic foaming agents in it) but when washed out it left the most horrible residue in my hair. It did not make my hair feel squeaky clean.

The conditioner again has the same bland smell but different whiter colour. I only used a little bit but still found it hard to wash out again.

The major disappointment came upon drying my hair. These products left my hair dull, lank and flat. I looked like my hair was in need of another wash.It did feel quite soft but normally I get a great shine with my other usual products. I could get no volume into the roots when blow drying and instead it just went really flat.

I can safely say that even if I walked past these on sale for 20p each I would not buy it again. Definately not for me.
