I adore trying out different shampoos and am always on the lookout for bargains. I used to spend an absolute fortune on designer brands however as I am getting older I realise that some of the cheaper branded items work in just the same way and sometimes better than the more expensive products available on the market. I was shopping recently in my local Boots store when I spotted an abundance of shocking pink bottles which caught my eye. On closer inspection I discovered that they were a new range of shampoos from Herbal Essences called Seductively Straight manufactured by Clairol. I have tried some of this range of products in the past with some success and decided that as they were selling the shampoo and conditioner for a £1 each that I would give the items a try. Well nothing ventured nothing gained.

Packaging

As stated the bottles are a very vibrant pink. They have an unusual and very modern and stylish design with one side being straight and the opposite side wavy. The bottles themselves are made of a flexible plastic material. There is a contrasting striking green flip-top lid. Each container has 400mls of product. In white writing there is a distinctive Clairol and Herbal Essences logo prominently displayed. In addition the front of the bottle states that this is the seductively straight version of the product and that it is silk n shine shampoo containing pear extracts. The version of the product I tried was intended for use by those people like myself who suffer from dry or damaged hair.

The Product

The shampoo itself has a wonderful smell this is immediately apparent once the product is opened. It is very fresh crisp and there is a distinctive smell of pears. I thought that it was absolutely gorgeous. The liquid itself is of quite a thick consistency and is a pretty pink colour. The manufacturers market this product as being able to tame hair into a sleek line of shine. In addition if followed with the conditioning treatment of the same range will give a silky touch and glossy effect. A dream product in my mind as my poor hair is prone to frizz and being dry and dull. I used this item the following morning after purchase and have to say was extremely impressed with the results. Just use in the normal way wet the hair and apply the product. The liquid works itself into a lovely lather so you don't need to use too much. The aroma is super a really luxurious fragrance which is very intense. You then just rinse thoroughly and repeat if you feel that it is required. I followed with the conditioner which had a lovely silky feel and left my hair feeling extra soft.

Results

I have to say that I found this product absolutely fabulous particularly used in conjunction with the conditioner. My hair not only had a wonderful fragrance it left my hair feeling lighter, softer and much more manageable than usual. In addition I felt that it went some way to taming the frizz which I am somewhat partial to getting, particularly at the ends. I would suggest that this is quite cost effective as less is definitely more with this item and I would expect it to last a good few weeks. I will certainly be buying this product again and would certainly recommend it to all.
