Herbal Essences Seductively Straight is a new product from Clairol, the makers of Herbal Essences range of shampoo and conditioners, made with silk and pear extracts. It is about £3 for a 400ml bottle, but is very often on offer. For example, when I purchased mine it was half price. The Seductively Straight shampoo and conditioner are meant to work together to add shine to hair, make it silky and also make hair straight and easier to maintain. This product is aimed at dry/damaged hair.

The bottles of the shampoo and conditioner are very different compared to the "old" style. They are both the same shade of pink, but the conditioner bottle is opaque compared to the shampoo bottle which is a translucent (semi-see through) pink, which you don't notice until you have used about a quarter of the bottle. The shapes of the bottles are unique compared to any other brand. One side of each bottle is straight, whereas the other is curved (both in the opposite way to each other) so that they can fit together neatly.

The shampoo and conditioner are used in the normal way. The smell of these products is very pleasant and fruity, and not too strongly of pear. The fragrance stays in your hair for many hours after washing, drying and styling.

After using Herbal Essences Seductively Straight shampoo and conditioner, I find it does mostly live up to its description: it leaves my hair feeling silky and looking shiny. However, it doesn't really straighten my hair, but it does leave it smoother, making it easier and faster to straighten.

The 400ml bottles do last quite a long time.

To conclude, Herbal Essences Seductively Straight is a very good product for smoothing and adding shine to your hair, leaving it smelling great. I would recommend this product as it is good value for money and doesn't run out too quickly, whilst living up to most of its claims.

Summary: Despite not really straightening hair, it smooths it and leaves it smelling great.
