James Brown London Hairspray
Advantages: Smells lovely, keeps a strong long lasting hold and finish.
Disadvantages: Can be quite pricey depending on where purchased.
Normally, when purchasing haircare/hair styling products, I just dismiss the James Brown London range as it can be quite pricey (on average ranging from £5-£10 depending on where is is purchased), but when seeing the James Brown London Hairspray on special offer in Boots for just a mere £2, and leaving with 5 cans of it, I was hoping for the best and that I hadn't just wasted £10. It comes in both large(250ml) and small(75ml) can sizes, the later being more suitable for 'on the go' use. Marketed as the product of choice for many celebrities- apparently Kate Moss is a fan, James Brown London products are said to be luxury that everyone can afford and "an essential tool in everday styling".
In terms of packaging, it is very simplistic. The can of the 250ml version is quite chunky, yet still very easy to hold. White in colour, and with dark grey/black text on top, describing the product and with quotes from James Brown himself about the hairspray. The can makes the product look very chic and would appeal to males as much as females. On top of the can, there is an easy to use spray button, which ensures you have complete control over the amount of product that is released from the can, whether it be a fine spray or slightly heavier for a more structured style.
When I sprayed the hairspray onto my hair for the first time, I was quite surprised in that it had a very clean, pleasant, fragrant scent to it, which is a stark difference from some of the other hairsprays I have used which can smell completley awful. From personal experience with other hairspray products, they tend to make my hair very crunchy and sticky, even when only using a small amount. With James Brown London hairspray,I haven't had this problem once, not even when spraying more than liberally over my hair. It indeed lives upto what is promised on the can with a "firm hold but natural finish"- the finish itself comparable with that within a hair salon. The product is long lasting and dosen't wear off like others can do,keeping my hair style firmly in place untill I brushed it out. It controlled my hair-which is prone to frizziness- extremely well.
Overall I would say that this product is worth the money, due to its quality and finish. I would glady pay full price after my stash has been used up!Elnett has a very strong competitor in James Brown London hairspray.
Summary: Well worth the price!Elnett has a strong competitor!
