James Brown London Scandalous Gorgeously Rich Moisturising Shampoo
Advantages: Unusual fragrance, moisturises well
Disadvantages: May be hard to get hold of
Little tubes from Savers
I have naturally curly hair with a tendency towards dryness, and I find that moisturising shampoos and conditioners are much better for my hair than those designed specifically for curls. I picked this up in Savers a short while back along with the accompanying conditioner for £1 each. Each tube only measures 100ml, but I bought them for a recent week-long holiday so though they would be the perfect size for travelling, as I hate lugging along bulky bottles of shampoo that I only need to use a fraction of!
These tubes are quite modern looking - black with gold and red lettering.
Rich and shimmery
Inside, the shampoo has a rich texture. It's on off-white colour with visible shimmery particles throughout. I am not sure of the point of this really, but then as far as I'm concerned a bit of glitter is no bad thing!
The scent is a little unusual for a shampoo. It is quite a musky scent and I think has a touch of cinnamon to it. It is actually quite nice and a change from other shampoos that I am more familiar with.
A nice burst of moisture
I always use a conditioner after shampooing my hair, but what I did notice after using this shampoo is that my hair felt really soft and smooth after rinsing the product out. Sometimes I find that shampoos can be a little drying on my hair but this definitely was not the case with this one.
I will be reviewing the conditioner separately and can only really judge the end results of this shampoo in conjunction with the matching conditioner. However, overall I was really pleased with this product. It has an unusual but pleasant fragrance, and it left my hair feeling really soft and well moisturised. Although I couldn't ever really skip the conditioner, this shampoo may be a good option for those of you who do not always have time to do both steps, and I think this would work well as a 2-in-1 product.
Looking online, it may be a bit tricky to get hold of this product. However there are plenty of bottles on ebay, and as I say it is worth looking in Savers too as this is where I purchased mine.
Summary: A lovely, rich shampoo
