Advantages: Smells good, leaves your hair soft
Disadvantages: Expensive, not as shiny as promised
If you've already read my shampoo review you'll know I switched to using this range and I'll try not to repeat too much what I've said in the shampoo review. I picked up a bottle of this in a 2 for £6 offer, and chose the matching conditioner to go with it. It comes in a tube-like bottle, which looks sleek and classy, with a cap lid on the bottom which you can stand it on - this is actually really handy because you never have to shake the bottle when it's getting low!
I have darker brown hair, so got the 'Chocolate to Espresso' shades. The brilliant brunette range comes in a selection of shades, with one suitable for every kind of brunette. The shampoo claims to include 'light enhancers', and claims it 'Exposes brown hair's luminosity; reveals multi-dimensional shine'. The range is suitable for both natural and colour-treated brunette hair.
The conditioner smells like one you'd find in a salon. I always find that whenever I have my hair done at the hairdresser it smells lovely (I think it's just down to a new shampoo and more products!) and my usual hair products never have that smell, but this does. It's white and creamy in colour, and has a pearly shine to it which looks quite nice.
I always feel like I should put plenty of conditioner on my hair, but since buying a more expensive product I've been trying to make sure I only use what I need and I've never had to put a second dollop on my hair with this, even if I use a smaller amount. It's easy to run through you're hair and feels smooth when on. Although the directions don't say to leave it on, I tend to try and leave it while I'm showering just to let it sink into my hair a bit before I rinse it off. It's very easy to rinse, I have found with conditioner I've used previously they're a big pain to rinse and take quite a few re-rinses before they're finally out, but this one is much easier to get out of your hair.
The only negative thing I have to say is that the conditioner just doesn't seem to last as long as the shampoo. I've still got about a quarter of the shampoo bottle left and I think I'lll only get 1 more wash out of the conditioner, which is annoying. But I'll put it down to the shampoo lasting longer than it should because it foams up well.
Once my hair was dried, it felt soft, smelt good and was a little shiner than before. I was a little disappointed it wasn't shinier, as I know it was a big part of this range to put the 'shine factor'. But it did make a little difference, and my hair felt nicer, even if I'm yet to see the benefit of these 'light enhancers'
Overall, I'd say to try this product if you see it on offer. It's results aren't as spectacular as advertisements make out, but you may have a different result to me. The range is suitable for all types of natural and coloured brunette hair, and can be found at all the usual supermarkets and cosmetic shops. Worth a try for all the brunettes out there!
