This was another recommendation to me by my mother-in-law. Ever keen to improve my grooming, she suggested i tried this shampoo and the matching conditioner to add a bit of shine and oomph to my hair. lovely, i thought, i must look like a bedraggled clammy haired hag in that case.

A few weeks later, Boots were doing a special offer on the shampoo and conditioner so i bought them. Dubious as to exactly how good it would be, i set to work lathering up my locks.

I'm not really the sort of person who waxes lyrical about shampoo, but the smell of this one is delicious. It's like a luxurious cocoa butter but less clinging. my hair ended up smelling clean but without an overly manufactured scent on it, which i was pleasantly surprised by.

the consistency of the shampoo is gel like, and is a lovely dark brown colour. for some reason, the fact that it was a gel made me think that my hair was even more clean. i don't know why - i don't think that's part of the marketing scheme really! anyway, it cleans my hair without leaving it static or frizzy. the conditioner is a smooth pearl-like cream which leaves my hair silky and again without static or frizz. a truly unbelievable feat with the type of hair i have!

once dry, my hair (which is generally flat when it isn't frizzy) did feel a little thicker or with a little more body. because of the silky texture, and the clean feeling, i've kept on using this. the product leaves my hair looking very shiny - with almost a mirror effect if i use hair straighteners.

all in all, i've kept on buying this shampoo. i was a bit of a product tart before, but i'm more than happy to have used this consistently for the last couple of years. lovely smell, leaves my hair with a lovely texture and yes, it is shiny and a little volumised!
