My hair is thin but there is a lot it and it is regularly coloured. This shampoo has been the best I have found to keep it in good condition. The smell is slightly chemically but is covered by a fragrance - its not too strong so dont let this put you off but i wanted to mention! The 200ml bottle normally lasts me about two months as a little goes ... Read the complete review

I have brown naturally curly hair that I have been styling straight for years now and I feel that I have finally come up with the perfect routine to make my hair as sleek and manageable as it can be for a curly mop! I think this is an excellent shampoo although I do prefer how the "original" makes my hair feel as opposed to the ... Read the complete review

I have already reviewed a couple of products in the John Frieda Brilliant Brunette range as they are my favourite hair care products. Brilliant Brunette shine release shampoo is my favourite shampoo. The only other one I use is Pantene, and Brilliant Brunette is my 'treat' shampoo as it can be quite expensive at £4.50 - £5.00 for a 250ml ... Read the complete review

Brilliant Brunette is specifically designed for people with brunette hair of course and comes in a couple of different shades to cover all brunette colours (well, hopefully). The bottle is 250ml and has a flip top lid. Normally I think these are a great idea but whether in the shower or the bath I find this particular bottle very ... Read the complete review

I have loved using Brilliant Brunette Shampoo's and Conditioner's for a few years now. When I first starting using them I was very dubious about whether they would have the effect on my hair that it says it will, but I am always really pleased with the result. The Brilliant Brunette haircare range is by John Frieda, who also do the ... Read the complete review

This was another recommendation to me by my mother-in-law. Ever keen to improve my grooming, she suggested i tried this shampoo and the matching conditioner to add a bit of shine and oomph to my hair. lovely, i thought, i must look like a bedraggled clammy haired hag in that case. A few weeks later, Boots were doing a special offer on ... Read the complete review

About I got this shampoo in a set from a friend at Christmas as a gift, I normally use Tony and Guy products on my hair but I think that this is a great shampoo, I may even have been converted from my old Tony and Guy ways. The smell This product has a lovely aroma that you can smell from when the bottle cap is opened, it ... Read the complete review

~JOHN FRIEDA SHINE RELEASE SHAMPOO~ ~THE PRODUCT~ I have just had a shower and washed my hair and thought that I would review the shampoo that I have just used. I colour my hair quite regularly and so I need a shampoo that will help the colour to last and ensure that my hair stays in good condition. As a treat to myself I ... Read the complete review

~AMBER, MAPLE, CHOCOLATE, ESPRESSO: WHICH BRUNETTE ARE YOU?~ I'm a 100% natural brunette and plan to stay that way until Mother Nature decides otherwise. Following an incident during my schooldays, which involved a weekend home alone, the folly of youth, a bottle of bleach and a box of red dye, I know what it's like to resemble ... Although, as you'll know from my reviews, I'm really into my beauty products, when it comes to my hair I'm much more of a laid back girl - my hair is very long having not been cut in over 6 months and pretty damaged, due to lots of blasting with the straightening irons. I know I should invest in a really good quality shampoo, but what with the ... Read the complete review

Firstly, I'm not really a make up and hair product junkie. I like shiny and pretty looking things, but usually I don't usually buy anything unless I really need it! However, I have no loyalty whatsoever towards products, particularly when it comes to shampoo and conditioner. Its usually a case of looking round boots to see what's on offer, what ... A few weeks ago my local Boots were running a promotion whereby you received a £2 hair care voucher when you spent over £10 in the store. The voucher could be used against a variety of hair care brands. I decided to John Frieda's brilliant brunette shine release shampoo.
