Advantages: Leaves hair shiny without feeling sticky

Disadvantages: None

I am a great lover of the John Frieda Brilliant Brunette range and I love using Shine Shock High-Shine Perfecting Glosser.

I began using this over a year ago, as it was part of a Brilliant Brunette gift set I was given as a present, and was so impressed I began using it everytime I wash my hair.
It comes in a tube and is a clear gel. After washing my hair, while it is still wet I squeeze a small amount onto my palms and run it through my hair. I only use two pea-sized amounts as it goes a long way, and if you use more then your hair can feel sticky.
I then dry my hair as normal (you do not rinse it out) and am left with a soft sheen which builds each time you use it and really picks out and illuminates the multi- tones of brunette hair, which regular users of Brilliant Brunette products will know. It also seals in split ends. People have commented on my hair asking if I have just had it coloured, when I haven't and also commented on the shine.

It is suitable for natural, colour-treated or highlighted brunettes.

I have used other gel-type glossers before and usually end up with my hair feeling lank or greasy looking and sometimes sticky, even though ive only used a small amount! But this is different to any other product I have tried and cannot rate it highly enough!
It does say you can use this on dry hair also by rubbing a small amount between your palms and smooth over your hair, but to be honest I have never done this as I'm always perfectly happy with the result after using it on my wet hair before drying.

This costs between £4 - £5 but is sometimes on 3 for 2 offers on John Frieda products in supermarkets and in Boots & Superdrug.
I have also noticed the small 25ml travel sizes on sale on Ebay , these are not available in shops, but are usually found in John Frieda gift sets, so you could buy a small one to try it first.

If you use other Brilliant Brunette products then you'll be sure to love this, and if you haven't, give it a try, I'm sure you won't be disppointed!

Summary: The perfect glosser for brunettes
