Advantages: Makes some curls but they dont hold and end up frizzy

Disadvantages: Expensive, not very good!!

Two weeks ago I found myself running out of my favourite L'Oreal curl spray so went to purchase some more. To my dismay the three shops I went in have stopped selling them, so that's another of my curl sprays that has stopped being produced, it seems that just as I find one that suits my hair they stop selling it!!

I have always been tempted to try Frizz ease products as whenever I watch one of the adverts it shows a girl with frizzy, messy hair that is suddenly transformed in to a head of most gorgeous curls, so I just wanted to find out what a joke the adverts were, I wasn't disappointed!!!!

I decided to try Frizz Ease Dream curls curl perfector. This cost £4.99 from Asda for a 200ml bottle and comes in a light purple coloured, plastic bottle. The bottle has a dark purple lid and a purple spray nozzle. On the front it has the John Frieda collection and the Frizz ease logo at the top of the bottle, it has the name of the product in the centre and at the bottom it states that it transforms wilted waves & curls into sexy salon inspired spirals.

On the back of the bottle it states that the Innovative magnesium enriched and non greasy formula penetrates hair to restore elasticity and spring, boosting and enhancing your natural curl pattern. So I thought that this product would be ideal for my hair as it already has a natural curl to it, I presumed that this product would help make my naturally curly hair more bouncy and less frizzy. The directions are to spray evenly onto damp hair, scrunch small sections of the hair and then either allow hair to dry naturally or use a diffuser to dry your hair.

I followed the instructions and sprayed the product evenly over my hair, the spray again is clear in colour and has a slight smell to it, its quite a hard smell to describe, it isnt a floral smell, but it isnt an unpleasant smell. The spray is not sticky to touch at all; it is in fact as thin as water.

I then dried my hair using a diffuser, whilst drying my hair I noticed that it was drying very fast and becoming a little bit frizzy and fly away. I finished drying my full head and then checked out the results. The product did create some nice curls, but it seemed as if there was no hold to them at all, they were very fly away and bordering on becoming frizzy. I found that by the end of the day my hair looked very messy, rather like I had been dragged through a hedge backwards, because as the day went on the product wasn't enough to hold my curls. In fact it was quite the opposite of the Pantene curl spray I have just reviewed!!!

I definitely wont be wasting my money on this product again, as it was one of the more expensive curl products on the market, it may well be that I just have the most awkward hair type ever and that this spray may be good for people with a different hair type, but im afraid its not suitable for me!!

Summary: Nothing to hold the curls throughout the day
