      Frizz ease hairspray

I have really curly, frizzy hair which unfortunately is not nice curly hair. I always straighten it with my GHD's but once i have finished and it looks nice its always hard to try and keep it looking nice, especially in this hot humid weather. One hint if humidity and my hair frizzes up again so I purchased some John Frieda Frizz Ease Moisture barrier hair spray to try and make my hair stay in one place.

I quite like John Frieda products and have used Frizz Ease hair serum for years. This works well on my hair so I was hoping the hairspray would work well too. According to an article I read, "Frizz-Ease is the U.K's number 1 brand for frizzy hair. The John Frieda hair care experts have spent years studying frizz, gaining an in-depth understanding of the many levels and types of frizz, and have developed customised solutions to make all levels of frizz more beautiful and manageable."

This hairspray is described as a fast-drying, shine-boosting formula that lasts long and stays strong. It creates an instant barrier that helps seal out humidity and combat frizz, rain or shine and even in high humidity climates. It has a firm-holding power which supports even the hardest-to-handle styles all day long. Interestingly it also contains sunscreen which I haven't really heard of before in hairsprays but I think its a brilliant idea. If you don't wear a hat and its sunny outside your scalp is often the first thing to get burnt, causing your skin to flake and then look like dandruff so to be able to protect your hair and scalp with a hairspray I think is a great idea.

This hairspray was easy to use. Once I have finished styling my hair I just spray this with the nozzle about an inch away from my hair and then give it a good blast all over. It has a hairspray type smell but after a few minutes this fades and you can't smell it anymore. I find this spray works well on my hair. It definitely holds my style in place quite nicely and I have noticed that in this hot weather it doesn't frizz up as much as it would without the spray, I don't get those annoying strands standing up and curling around my forehead or around my ears so I would recommend this spray as a good combat to frizz and humidity.

A 250ml spray bottle costs £5.59 which is a bit expensive but in my opinion worth it.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

        A useful hair care product

~Create a moisture barrier with John Frieda hairspray~
        *****************************************

John Frieda Frizz Ease Moisture Barrier Hairspray is a product that I often use to help keep my hair looking sleek and well groomed on days when it is rainy, wet and windy, as well as on days when it is warm but humidity levels are high. I have used the product on its own as well as with other products from the Jon Frieda range and found that this product works rather well in most cases. I find that the product is expensive to buy unless on an offer or multi buy deal when compared to some similar hairspray products, although I do feel that this particular product works better than many other similar products do, which does help justify its higher sales price a little in my opinion.

~Product presentation and ease of use~
        ******************************

The presentation of the product is both neat and smart in my opinion. I feel that the simple brushed silver finish used on the product container works well as it looks sleek and clean all the time, even when nearing the end of its useful life. The silver, black and lilac colours used on the product container and lid are the same as those used through out the range, making everything easy to find in store when the products are sat amongst an array of other similar hair care products. The product lid stays on fairly well and it helps to prevent accidental sprays of the product if storing it away after use. There is a large sized 250ml can of spray that offers a greater number of uses although it is rather large and bulky, so isn't something that I would place in a handbag to take out with me for top up sprays. There is a smaller purse sized spray that you can buy and I find this very useful as it can be popped in to a bag and used as and when wanted, without it taking up too much room or being too heavy to carry.

        ~Using the spray~
        **************

I find that the product works well when I use it, as it gives a nice sleek well groomed finish to my hair, without it feeling too heavy and clingy. I find that the spray pattern produced by the press down applicator is very light and gives a nice fine mist of spray across the hair when used at a short distance away. The fragrance used in this product does have that age old hairspray scented effect to it, although in my opinion it isn't too strong or overpowering and soon fades away to nothing when in place. When I use this product I find the results are generally very good, with the finished look being natural in appearance. I never find that this spray gives me that horrid cardboard hair look that hairsprays of old used to give. I find that I can spray on a fine mist of this product and then leave it to dry, before brushing through the hair again so as to protect it from moisture ingress. The product tends to give my hair a nice natural look that moves as it should rather than a fake static look and I tend to use this as a moisture resistant finishing spray at times, rather than as a traditional hair spray product.

        ~Product rating/ price~
        *****************

I find that this hair care product works well when I use it. I have had no issues with reactions to the product and I find that the light fragranced effect it has soon fades away once sprayed on to my hair. The cost of the spray can appear expensive as it costs £6.99 for 250mls and £1.99 to £2.49 for 100mls, although I have found that a little goes a long way and each full can of spray does last a good length of time. I have found this product to be of help, as it does give a nice natural finish that helps hair hold its style and shape even in damp weather. My rating for this product is 4 stars.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

A hair product I simply could not live without.

As a new member of Dooyoo, I am trying to think of all these wonderful products I can't live without and John Frieda Moisture Barrier Hairspray was pretty close to the top.

I was my hair everyday and spend a good 20-30 mins drying it and styling it. When you spend all that time and effort every day, the last thing you want is for your hair to go all frizzy the minute you walk through the front door. Remember Monica from Friends when she goes to Barbados and her normaly sleek locks turn into an afro the minute she steps off the plane? Well that's me! (well almost because I have red hair...and she doesn't).

My one and only answer...FRIZZ-EASE hairspray. I do use the serum as well, but to be honest, it's the hairspray that does all the hard work.
Each 250 ml can retails for £5.59 at Boots and I feel that's quite expensive. I have recently purchased a cheaper alternative just to see if I was wasting my money and it was just useless. It is often on special offer ( buy 2 get 1 free) and I try to go for that but if it's not on offer....I buy it anyway.

It claims to block humidity and prevent frizz and that's just what it does.
Here is how it works best for me. Immediately after styling, apply a generous amount until your hair feels quite stiff. I know the "I have put so much hairspray on my hair it won't move" look is not a good one but, here's the beauty of it. By the time I get to work, I run my fingers through my hair and it feels perfectly light and natural. Above all, it lasts throughout the day and no matter how wet and humid it gets, my hair can take it. I never have to respray again during the day.

My only regret? Two years ago whilst on holiday in America, I bought a giant can at least 4 times the size of the ones I normally buy. Why oh why can't we get them here????

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

          Highly recommended

This is in my opinion the best hairspray ever invented, and I've probably tried them all.

I have been using this product for more years than I can remember and it has never let me down. I have just purchased some more on a 3 for 2 special offer in Boots for £5.49 each, so a good saving.

The product comes in a silver spray can with a purple lid, and has just under gone another slight package re-design, it now contains French and English product descriptions. The hairspray is part of the John Frieda Frizz Ease range and is supposed to act as a moisture barrier, preventing humidity causing you hair to frizz. It also offers great hold and is aimed at straight or curly hair styles. You get 250ml of product in total and it has a UV filter to protect against the damaging effects of the sun.

I have fairly long straight, very thick hair that is dry, so it needs a lot of looking after. The main reason I use the product is as a moisture barrier rather than a hair spray to hold my hair style. I use moisturizing shampoo and conditioner, blow dry and then straighten my hair and once my hair is straight I spray a good amount of the product all over my hair, leave it to dry for a few seconds and then basically brush it through. This means that my hair it significantly protected from the dreaded effects of humidity, which used to leave my hair twice as large and quite poodle like, which is never a good look.

The product easily sprays out of the spray nozzle and I have never had issues with it clogging in all the years I have been using this product. It sprays out fairly finely and dries within seconds. I have not really used the hair spray to hold my style, but friends of mine who have say that it holds brilliantly and easily brushes out when the time comes, I find that if am a bit over zealous with the spray that it can dry quite hard and crunchy, but it brushes out with no problems.

The hair spray smells ok, much like most really, but the smell does not linger in your hair, which I like. I use it everyday and it lasts me about a month or so.

Overall I would definitely recommend this product to others, it really does help prevent the annoying effects of humidity hair and it's a good price. I use it everyday and a 250ml tin lasts me about 6 weeks.

          Awesome and affordable hairspray!

John Frieda Frizz Ease Moisture Barrier Hairspray is one of the best out there! I own this hairspray and use it every day! I have to wear my hair up for work and my hair is always so frizzy so i started using the John Frieda Frizz Ease Moisture Barrier Hairspray and it makes my hair feel so much lighter and it doesn't bulk up and leave my hair hard where i used hairspray. It keeps my fly away gone for the whole night! I have never used any product that is better than the John Frieda collection. Not only is this product real reliable it is also affordable and doesn't take a chunk out of your wallet or bank balance. It also has a nice small to it unlike other hairsprays that are really strong and make you couch while putting it on. I think the John Frieda collection is the best route to go! Advantages

          Disadvantages

A recommend this hairspray - the brand is good and the moisture barrier works!

I originally brought this hairspray because it was on an offer at Boots for 3 for £10. I always enjoy reading descriptions of hairspray, being 'moisture barrier', 'sun protection' or the other things they come out with..!
This particular one read that it would help seal the ends of hair that often get crazy big during humid conditions. As my hair often does get curly in this type of weather this looked like a good buy for myself, to help keep it straight in moisture conditions - and for me I do like this one and do think it helps to protect if from going big and all of the place!

The product --> The hairspray comes in a large (250ml) can, which is silver. It has a purple plastic top which is quite large - which is handy if it comes off and you are searching for it! There is a black strip with 'John Fredia collection' at the top, and then the description of the hairspray over the bottle.

Cost --> These products are often on offer in Boots, such as the offer I first purchased it from. However it retails for £5.59 now there. In Superdrug it is £4.89, so the best thing to do is shop around.

This product I find great because I do suffer with flyaways and frizz - especailly in hot conditions (like clubs!) so I do find this great. On holiday it is also a good product as it contains sunscreen. I also find that it adds shine to my hair, and dries fast so that there is no waiting around for it. I sometimes apply this before I straighten my hair, and then do it again after - for double the protection.

There are so many hair sprays out there, and I do think that sometimes they cost far too much for what they do, however this one I find great and would recommened to people who do get frizzy!!

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

Works well as a hairspray but makes hair feel horrible

This is the hairspray I used to use, the second one in my quest to find the perfect one.
Before this I had been using a Superdrug one (Not recommended by the way), but I found it didn't really hold very well and didn't really do its job.
I borrowed this from my mum one time when i'd curled my hair and wanted something to keep the curls in place.
It certainly did the job, giving great hold.
I was really pleased so I went out and bought a bottle.

The hairspray is available from Boots for £4.99 for a 250ml bottle, and also from several supermarkets for varying prices.
In my opinion it's quite expensive for a 250 ml bottle.
It comes in a silver bottle with a lilac lid and black writing.
It's quite an attractive bottle and in my opinion it looks quite professional.

The directions recommend starting with Frizz-ease style activating shampoo and conditioner and Frizz-ease hair serum, but I just used my usual shampoo and conditioner which weren't the same brand.
The hairspray is easy to use, just push down a sort of button on the top and it sprays out.
You don't need much to keep your style in place and I didn't use it every day anyway, just every so often, but for me a bottle lasted ages and ages.
If you touch your hair before the hair spray has dried it feels sticky which isn't nice, but it very soon dries.

On the bottle, this hairspray promises to protect your style all day, help to seal out humidity and resist frizz in any weather.
I have to say, it did just that and certainly lived up to its promise.

However, for me the major weakness of this hair spray is that it makes hair feel so stiff, so hard and so brittle.
It didn't bother me at first until my sister pointed it out and I remembered that not all hair sprays would do this.
Once I started to notice this it started to bother me more and more.
It is also quite difficult to brush the hair spray out.

When I finished the bottle I didn't buy this brand of hair spray again.
It does work well but I hate how it made my hair feel and I wouldn't recommend it.
Saying that, my mum still uses it and thinks it's great.
Although to be perfectly honest, her hair feels like straw when she uses it.

Overall, It does its job but I won't be buying it again.
