Advantages: Keeps hair in place, protects against frizz
Disadvantages: Makes hair very stiff, hard and dry
This is the hairspray I used to use, the second one in my quest to find the perfect one.
Before this I had been using a Superdrug one (Not recommended by the way), but I found it didn't really hold very well and didn't really do its job.
I borrowed this from my mum one time when i'd curled my hair and wanted something to keep the curls in place.
It certainly did the job, giving great hold.
I was really pleased so I went out and bought a bottle.
The hairspray is available from Boots for £4.99 for a 250ml bottle, and also from several supermarkets for varying prices.
In my opinion it's quite expensive for a 250 ml bottle.
It comes in a silver bottle with a lilac lid and black writing.
It's quite an attractive bottle and in my opinion it looks quite professional.
The directions recommend starting with Frizz-ease style activating shampoo and conditioner and Frizz-ease hair serum, but I just used my usual shampoo and conditioner which weren't the same brand.
The hairspray is easy to use, just push down a sort of button on the top and it sprays out.
You don't need much to keep your style in place and I didn't use it every day anyway, just every so often, but for me a bottle lasted ages and ages.
If you touch your hair before the hair spray has dried it feels sticky which isn't nice, but it very soon dries.
On the bottle, this hairspray promises to protect your style all day, help to seal out humidity and resist frizz in any weather.
I have to say, it did just that and certainly lived up to its promise.
However, for me the major weakness of this hair spray is that it makes hair feel so stiff, so hard and so brittle.
It didn't bother me at first until my sister pointed it out and I remembered that not all hair sprays would do this.
Once I started to notice this it started to bother me more and more.
It is also quite difficult to brush the hair spray out.
When I finished the bottle I didn't buy this brand of hair spray again.
It does work well but I hate how it made my hair feel and I wouldn't recommend it.
Saying that, my mum still uses it and thinks it's great.
Although to be perfectly honest, her hair feels like straw when she uses it.
Overall, It does its job but I won't be buying it again.
Summary: Works well as a hairspray but makes hair feel horrible
