I'm a big fan of John Frieda, because my hair can't make its mind up whether it is straight or curly, and usually hovers in between. What doesn't change is the frizz: I have very thick hair and frizz therefore shows up pretty clearly.

Heat protection is also a key feature for me, as to get my hair to do anything at least a blow-dryer is required, and often curlers or straighteners too. This spray is what I use when going for curly, and it definitely delivers in terms of heat protection. It's quite hard to tell whether my hair would have been damaged had I not used this spray, but it certainly is in good condition and not remotely damaged at all.

As far as looks go, it's not an especially beatutiful bottle but it is functional, and for those who care about that kind of thing, carries the John Frieda brand logo on the front. It also has a plastic lid that means it won't just spray itself when being moved around, making it more useful for travelling.

Does it deliver spiral style? On my hair, kind of. I think that my hair needs some more encouragement than this provides, although compared to other similar products I've used, it is up there with the best.

As for easing frizz, here is where this product has been absolutely invaluable to me. My hair feels soft and sleek, and slightly detangled too. It also makes my hair lovely and shiny. This lasts all day, although the improvement in curl doesn't last quite this long.

Overall I'd definitely recommend this product. It's great for those with frizzy hair and natural curls that just need some tidying up. On waves, it still works to get rid of frizz, and I suppose makes waves more wavy. It lasts quite well. All in all, I'd probably buy it again.
