Advantages: Smooths hair, Leaves it requiring less straightening.

Disadvantages: Does not work well in conjunction with the shampoo (for me personally.)

I have already reviewd the "John Frieda Frizz Ease Straight Ahead Daily Shampoo" which 'matches' this conditioner and so if you have read that at all you will know I was not very happy with it at all. It left my hair lank, unmanageable and not at all straighter. I decided to give the conditioner another chance as I figured it may perform differently and luckily I did because it does!

This product is part of "John Frieda's Frizz Ease" range and promises to 'tame and streamline hair' for 'instantly easily styling'. It nourishes, silkens and maximises shine. It claims to have been created with salon expertise and to the first product of this type. It is perfect for all types of dry, frizz prone hair and uses a unique 'straight defining complex' whish penetrates the hair at the follicle forming a 'humidity resistent barrier' to calm frizz and protect straight hair from the style ruining effects of humidity and drizzle. It also claims that hair will be instantly straighter and easier to style. It is gentle enough to be used everyday and will not fade or strip coloured hair.

It is packaged in a sleek, tall silver tube with a flip open lid on the base. The tube contains all the information you need to use it and therefore reduces the amount of materials used (Take note John Frieda, a lot of your other products could do with a packaging make-under!)

The conditioner itself is thick and creamy and has the same, artificial - yet - fruity scent that most of the range carry. It spreads easily through the hair and doesn't drip out yet is easy enough to rinse away. I massage it into damp hair after shampooing and leave to sit for about 5 minutes.

Although they recommend you using this in conjunction with the shampoo, as stated I found this didn't work well at all but used alone it is great :-)
It really nourishes my hair and leaves it tangle free and smooth. After drying and straightening my hair feels soft, lightweight, managable and... straighter! I only have to run my straightening irons through my hair very quickly to achieve my desired style and even if left to dry naturally the waves in my hair are visibly relaxed.

I cannot vouch for how well it works when exposed to humidity as the weather here has been very cold and dry recently so I havn't been able to judge that, but overall it has had a positive effect on my hair -
It is smoother, sleeker, feels incredibly lightweight and is a lot easier to style. And since I do not have to use my straighteners so much I'm sure that can only be a good thing to!
I have been using this 3-4 times a week for over 2 months yet and I am still to run out, so for the £4.69 I paid (for 250ml) it works out at great value too.
So although it didn't work well when used with the shampoo, alone I would definately recommend it! :-)

Summary: Will continue to rebuy unless I find something better.
