Last year I was lucky enough to win a box of John Frieda's Luxurious Volume products, which included this Blow-Out Spray. This particular spray was new to me, although I had previous used a different styling spray.
I was interested to see how it would help my hair. Although each individual strand of hair is thick, there is less of it than there used to be - perhaps a combination of age, ill-health and medication. No matter what the cause, I am always on the hunt for the perfect product - one that will provide me with lasting volume.
This doesn't quite do a good enough job for me. It's easy to use - simply spray through your wet hair and then blow dry as usual. Once I have dried my hair, I am pleased with the thickness and volume of my hair, but I am quite picky. I want my style to last more than a few hours. Every time I have used this spray I find that my hair feels very fly-away the next day, and all the style is lost. I wouldn't mind one without the other, but the two negatives mean that I won't be buying this once I have finished the bottle.
It may be that this product would work really well for those who wash and style their hair daily, and if that were the case for me I might have awarded an extra star. So I am awarding three stars purely on my own experience.
Costs about 6.45 - sorry, Dooyoo won't allow pound signs - from high street and online retailers.
I can't get the Advantages and Disadvantages to stick, so here they are:
Advantages: helps add volume to fine, flat hair
Disadvantages: makes my hair feel too soft and fly-away
