**The Back Story**
I've been dying my hair different colours (blonde, brown, red, ginger- by accident!) for about 5 years now, and I've found that often the hair dye kits you get in chemists (like boots) and supermarkets do not contain enough liquid to cover all of my hair. My hair is very thick and just below shoulder length. I decided to give this a go because it had good adverts and write ups, and, although more expensive than much of the competition - £9.99 at Boots, £6.99 at Superdrug (currently on offer at time this was written) - I liked the look of it, and I trusted it as John Frieda is a well known haircare brand which has been around for a while.

**My experience**
I really enjoyed using this hair colour. It is much easier to use than other colour as it is far less gloopy than liquid hair colour. The foam is much less likely to drip and I found it goes a long way, especially on my thick hair which usually would need one and a half bottles of normal hair colour e.g. nice and easy, casting creme gloss. It also smells a lot more pleasant - not the usual full on ammonia smell you get with a lot of dyes. The colour I used was Medium Natural Blonde - I had light bleached blonde hair to begin with. However my dirty blonde/brown roots were growing through. This means there is a slight difference in the colour of my hair at the tips and at the roots.. However I believe this is not the fault of the product. The colour at my roots has come out more light reddy brown, whereas the colour at the tips has gone marginally darker, but in a nice way. My hair has an awful tendency to go ginger regardless of what i do to it, so it was a nice surprise when this colour kept it at blonde. It was really easy to apply, and didn't sting my sensitive scalp, which casting creme gloss has been known to do in the past. It came with a lovely conditioner which made my hair extremely soft after using, and smells beautiful, yet not overpowering.
**Overall**
I really enjoyed using this hair dye, and I would definitely use it again, even though it is a few quid more expensive than most other hair colours. It is definitely worth the money, and I have received much better results with it than with other liquid colours. The foam is a massive advantage, and it is easy to get every last drop of foam out of the bottle. I would give this product 5/5 for ease of use and results.
Summary: Brilliant to use. Enjoyed my experience - would use it again. Congrats john frieda.
