Advantages: The dramtic improvement on dry damaged hair

Disadvantages: Maybe the price but it last for months!

I have just reviewed the crystal hairspray in the sheer blondes range which i insist on calling just for blondes (as that was the original name).

I use this product every day. It costs about £4.70 for 35g which lasts me at least 6 months so in my opinion it's a bargain! It's advertised as a styling product. I have very dry, fine blonde hair which believe me is a pain in the neck to style as it really doesn't hold any shape well at all as it is ultra straight and lacks body.

I originally started buying this when I had my hair in a shoulder length bob which was ever so slightly feathered. I was attracted by the packaging and name Spun Gold. It comes in a silver metal tin about the size of a small boot polish tin and has a cardboard protective case around it which is gold, cream and black.

The instructions tell you to apply it to dry hair but I actually get better results from applying it to my wet hair before blow drying. You only need a small amount but this really depends on how dry your hair is. The product is basically a wax which is gold and extremely shimmery. Once you have a small amount of the wax on your fingers rub it between the palms of your hands to allow an even application. apply it by rubbing your hands over your hair particularly the ends if they are dry and split.

When styling the wax moulds your hair to the required shape and helps separate it so you don't get that static problem. Your hair will appear smoother, feel softer and looks naturally shiny. It's really important that you don't use to much as it may appear greasy. My hair holds it's shape all day, with a little extra help from hairspray. And it is hard to tell I have split ends.

A lot of people think my hair is naturally blonde as it doesn't look dry at all. If you could see the difference in my hair before and after you would be impressed at what this product is capable of.

I love it and can't imagine how I would cope without it now!
