Advantages: Brightens highlights

Disadvantages: Price

I have long, naturally curly, dry, frizzy, highlighted hair, which is quite honestly a nightmare. I have to use lots of serum, wax and hairspray on it every day just to tame the wild frizz, and the build of products can leave my highlights looking dull and boring.

I was pleasantly surprised with John Frieda Sheer Blonde Moisture Infusing Shampoo. On the packaging it says it contains a special blend of anti-oxidants, plus Vitamins A, C and green tea extract to help safeguard delicate blonde hair from damaging free radicals that can break down colour and structural integrity. There is also aloe vera and moisture rich humectants to restore supleness and shine, and natural lemon peel, camomile and sunflower seed extracts.

With just one wash it got rid of the product build up (even the wax which other shampoos have failed to do in the past) and my hair felt squeaky clean. My highlights definitely looked brighter, although not lighter (I'm not sure why I was expecting this, it's not as though the shampoo claims to lighten hair!) and my hair was a little shinier, but not massively. My frizzy hair seemed to like this shampoo. I was a bit worried that as it got rid of the product build up, it might dry out my hair, making it frizzier, but it didn?t.

The only downfall is the price. It is quite expensive for a shampoo, and there are other brands that are a lot cheaper. But this shampoo really does work, and I'm happy to pay the price for such worthwhile results.

I love this too - made my (very bottled) blonde hair a more natural colour. But by the end of the bottle it was starting to make my hair greasy. shame.
