Disadvantages: Doesn't do what it says, makes hair greasy

Frizz Ease Wind-Down relaxing creme is a temporary relaxer that you can use in two ways. You can either use it to straighten out your hair, or to create softer, frizz-free curls or waves.

The relaxing creme comes in a 100ml see-through plastic container, which has a pump dispenser. Although the packaging is basic, it is very practical, and I like the fact that you are able to see exactly how much product you have left. The creme is white and has what I can only describe as a chemical smell to it.

You apply 1-2 pumps of the creme to damp hair, and work it through from roots to ends. You then comb your hair to make sure the product is distributed evenly.

If you want straight hair, you have to blow-dry section by section using a large flat brush to pull sections taught. Your hair should stay straight until the next time you wash it. If, on the other hand, you want softer curls or waves, you use a diffuser, or let your hair dry naturally.

I have long, naturally curly hair, and wanted to use the relaxing creme to make my hair straight. The creme was easy to apply, but made my hair go really knotty. I found it difficult to get a comb through, but eventually managed to do it. I followed the instructions, and sectioned off my hair, but found that as I was blow-drying each section, it just was not getting my hair completely straight. The ends were frizzing up, but I persisted.

I was not at all happy with the final result. My hair did not look sleek and straight, as promised. The middle section was straighter, but the ends were frizzy. My hair looked puffy, and felt and looked quite greasy. The creme also seemed to make it extra knotty. I could not wait to wash it out.

As I had spent so much money on a product that seemed useless for making my hair straight, I thought I would try using it to make my curls softer and looser. I applied the creme in the same way as before, but this time I used a diffuser a
ttachment. I wish I had not bothered. My hair was neither curly, nor straight. It just looked lank and frizzy. Not a good look!

As you have probably guessed, I would not recommend Frizz Ease Wind-Down relaxing creme. In my opinion, it is a completely useless product, and a real let down to the John Frieda range.

I totally agree with ur review. when i blow dried my hair it only stayed straight for an hour before it starts to wave not sure if its cause its not completely dry. Does definately relax it but does not last till next wash.

Hi, nice review! It might help if you widen your subject matter a wee bit and considered taking one or two members into your circle of friends. I know if can be difficult to stray away from your favourite stuff (I too have got a bit carried away at times), but at least then your ops would appeal to a greater range of readers. :-)

Hi
Good review of a product that clearly seems unable to do what it claims.

It would help if you were to add a little to your profile, that way members get an idea of who you are, and can sort of vision you and the product together?? Just a comment that may help.

Thanks for the review and well written.
Dave :-)
