does the job and looks great on the side of your bath - Advantages: smells great, does fluff up your hair, works best with the glossing serum and no conditioner - Disadvantages: bottles and fiddly tops aren't exactly ideal for slippery hands, 'where are my lenses??' moments in the morning

If you are not drawn to the John Frieda ready to wear range when browsing for a new shampoo by the dark blue unusual colour of the bottle, then the professional looking shape and style of the bottle will get you. The glistening shampoo is for fine to normal, dull or dry hair. And is sold for around £4 for a generous sized bottle. It claims to have a unique glossing formula, which will deliver extreme shine and instant suppleness. I would not say that it gave extreme shine, but it did leave my hair after blow-drying looking allot sleeker and shiner than normal, and also taming any stray hairs or split ends. It must be a man thing. I have very ordinary hair which resists any type of styling, preferring to go it's own way. Hence, after years of trying to persuade it into some kind of fashionable style,spending pounds of my hard earned cash in the process, I have admitted defeat and had it cut very short and spiky.My man, on the other hand, has fantastic hair, the sort of blonde, corkscrew curls that most women would die for - and he hates it.
