Why I bought it. I love the smell of babies. You know when they have just got out of the bath. I also have very sensitive skin and so when I saw Johnson's Baby Shampoo for 99p in my local Home and Bargain (rrp £1.89) I thought I'd give it another go. This was also the detangling formula. Which was a bonus because I had very thick long hair at the time. Packaging. The 300 ml plastic bottle is clear alowing you to see the bright Lucozade orange of the shampoo. It really is quite lurid. The bottle isn't one of those squeezie jobs. I have found it to be quite hard to flip open with wet hands, but given that small children are forever putting things in their mouths, this is possibly a good thing. Shampoo. It smells of childhood with the trademark soft and sweet smell that is synonymous with Johnson's products. It only took a small fifty pence piece coin sized blob to wash my hair and it lathered well. As for the No More Tears claim, this product still hurts when you get it into your eyes but considerably less than other shampoos I have used. So maybe it should have a 'Less f***ing and blinding'' sticker for adults! Results. Having finished my bath, I now hoped the detangling aspect would kick in, and it certainly did almost too well, as my comb went through my hair suspciously well. My hair was certainly soft once it had dried, but it also seemed to have a slight film over it. This could be due to my rinsing technique rather than the product. My hair also felt slightly dry at the ends but this was probably as I had not used a conditioner. My hair was nice and shiny and smelt lovely though. It did exactly what it said on the bottle. Conclusion. I would certainly recommend this for longer hair but would say that it would probably be best to use it in conjunction with a conditioner. Johnsons now do a detangling conditioner for £2.99
per 500 ml. Having since had my hair cut really short I have found that this product makes my hair feel a tad bitty for the want of a better phase and have discontinued use. Other. Johnson's products are hypoallergenic and ph balanced. * Title comes from John 'The Biscuit' Cage from Allie Macbeal in reference to his errr penis/willy/privates delete as appropriate
