Advantages: Lovely smell, reasonably priced, mild, no scalp irritation, lathers well.
Disadvantages: None.
I have lots of nieces and nephews who I sometimes babysit for. Recently I had my nephew, Ronnie, overnight and it came down to me and my fiancé to give him a bath. Scary stuff!
After running him a nice bath and giving him a wash I almost forgot to wash his hair. I then spotted the familiar golden liquid in the Johnson's Baby Shampoo bottle and it brought back fond memories of my eldest niece when she was that age.
The bottle is clear and inside is a thick golden liquid. The bottle tells me that this product is 'no more tears' as it has been for many years now. It's simple to use, just pop open the flip top lid, wash hair with warm water and then add a dollop. The liquid lathers up well and has a lovely smell to it that just makes me think of babies instantly. It is designed to be as gentle as water and I did end up dabbing a bit in my nephews eye (by accident) and I just splashed him with water and he laughed. He didn't seem to be fazed or in pain at all so I commented to my fiancé how it really is 'no more tears!'.
This shampoo is PH balanced, has clinically proven mildness as is suitable from birth. It does seem to be very effective and gave my nephew lovely, silky, smooth hair later that evening. It smells lovely and does not seem to irritate his scalp in any way.
When I have my own children I am going to use Johnson's products as I believe that they are a name that you can trust. Their products always work well for babies and I'm yet to use a bad one.
This is available from Tesco stores or www.tesco.co.uk with a 300ml bottle costing £1.59 and a 500ml bottle costing £2.56 although this is currently on offer at £2.00.
I am going to rate this 5/5 as it smells nice, lathers well and best of all Ronnie wasn't irritated by it. That's the main thing after all.
Summary: A fantastic baby shampoo that really works.
