Advantages: You'll smell like a Johnson's baby, lol. It makes my hair shiny soft.

Disadvantages: You may need to use slightly more of this than a regular shampoo and it sometimes make my hair become rather static.

I thought I’d tell you all how good I find my sons shampoo!

Yes it is meant to be just for the kids but to tell you the truth it works really well on everyone’s hair.
Whether you have greasy, normal or dry hair, this stuff is mild and gentle enough to use every day and won’t strip your hair of its natural oils.

So why am I using baby shampoo, well to tell you the truth I ran out of my ample supply of concoctions and wasn’t in the mood to go shopping. Some of you will know I’ve been suffering with morning noon and night sickness and the last thing on my list was a trip to town to find a bargain (which is what I’d usually do!). So I pinched some of the bairn’s shampoo. He doesn’t mind, bless him :o)

~~~~~~~ The Johnson’s Smell Test ~~~~~~~
As a huge fan of Johnson’s products, this does not disappoint in the fragrance department. The only way I can describe it is to liken it to other Johnson’s products I’m afraid!
It’s mild, fresh and clean smelling. Lovely stuff, just what I like in a shampoo and it’s not over powering at all. Not that I’d expect it to be when it’s supposed to be used on kids :o)
~~~~~~ Packaging ~~~~~~~

Rather a plain looking see-through bottle with shampoo of a lovely shade of yellow, as you can tell with the picture provided here by ciao. It’s got the usual Johnson’s logo and a big “no more tears” stamp, which I can vouch for (more on that later).
The bottle also informs me that:

:Its as mild as pure water (thats what it says on the bottle anyway!)
:Mild enough to use on new born babies
:PH balanced
:Clinically proven mildness

~~~~~~~ Effectiveness etc ~~~~~~~
Well I find it works well on my hair and at the moment I have rather greasy hair :o(
I put this down to my pregnancy and hormonal changes. I usually have what is probably classed as normal hair. I have been using it every day for about a month and so far so good. I also use it on my son’s hair every day and he has lovely shiny locks.
I find I have to use a fair bit to get a good lather, about a tablespoons worth, which is probably a lot more than I would with a none baby shampoo. It’s got a good consistency and is not too runny or too thick. Once applied to the hair it’s easy to lather and easy to rinse. I have had it in my eye’s being the clumsy woman that I am and I can safely say it does not sting at all. So it really does live up to the “no more tears” reference.
I find my hair is nice and shiny and also soft but it doesn’t get my tats out (tangles or knots). I find most shampoo’s leave all the tats behind anyway and if your prone to tangles or whatever you call yours, then I’d recommend a conditioner too.
The only thing I will say that is a bit negative, is that sometimes when I’ve used this, my hair seems to become rather fly away, like someone has rubbed a balloon on my head and it’s sticking up all over the place, lol. This has only happened a few times and I find if I use a conditioner after washing my hair this doesn’t happen!
Funnily enough it doesn’t have that effect on my sons hair at all so maybe it’s just me!
~~~~~~~ Price and Availability ~~~~~~~

Well you’ll be pleased to know you can buy this at just about every chemist shop, it’s also available from Boots, Superdrug and most supermarkets. The price will vary from shop to shop but usually retails between £1.80 to £2.20 for a 300ml bottle. I usually buy it when it’s on offer or buy one get one free, which is always my favourite type of purchase!

~~~~~~~ Ingredients ~~~~~~~
Aq
ua, polysorbate 20, sodium, laureth sulphate, sodium lauroamphoacetate, peg-150, distearate, lauryl betaine, polyquaternium.10, quaternium 15, benzyl alcohol, citric acid, parfum, C1 47005, C1 15985.
Finally I would just like to say that I’d highly recommend this if you haven’t already tried it. I’m not saying I will never use another shampoo but I would definitely use it again. It’s good for all the family and that includes my other half who doesn’t care what he uses on his head as long as it doesn’t smell girly, lol.
Hope I haven’t rambled for too long and thanks for reading :o)
I have used Holly's shampoo before now when I have run out and you are right, it does work on adults hair too. Jo
So, you'll be swapping your Vidal Sassoon for your son's bottle?! :)
