Advantages: Name you can trust, Smells nice, Gentle

Disadvantages: None

I have a secret alliance to Johnson's, it is a name I know I can trust and I have used it on Kayleigh since she was born.

When I found out I was pregnant, after all my panic attacks and counselling from my best friends I began buying baby clothes and products so the costs spread themselves out over five months rather than a huge panic at the end. I stocked up like crazy on Johnson's shampoo, baby bath, baby oil, nappy cream, soap and powders. I went mad, every time I saw it on Buy One get One free at Boots I got some. If only I knew how little of it I would need to use. Kayleigh is 14 months now, and the surplus goes on and on. I am saying this as a positive point to how long it lasts but I wish it hadn't lasted quite so long as I still feel the urge to buy it when I see buy one get one free - I can not resist a good offer!

Anyway, back on track with the review, it is so delicate on Kayleigh's skin. She had cradle cap and very sensitive skin so I had to be, and still am, very careful what I use. This shampoo is proven to be as delicate on their skin as water. And unlike many adult shampoo it contains no alcohol or soap. As you would know from their huge advertising campaigns it is dermatological tested so there is no doubt in your mind as to whether this is safe for your child.

You only need to use the tiniest about of this shampoo, say the size of a 2pence piece. It foams up lovely and gives off that lovely baby smell. It is easy to rinse out and doesn't cause her any irritation. I must admit I have never got it in her eyes but my Fiance, who uses it because of his eczema, forever gets it in his eyes and it causes him no irritation. Nick, fiance man!, has been using this shampoo for years and his hair is gorgeous and smells lovely. And he is just a big baby really!

The ingrediants don't contain any gremlins or hidden horrors and are safe, as you would expect, for baby skins. They are as follows:-
Water
, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, PEG-80 Sorbitan Laurate, Sodium Trideceth Sulfate, PEG-150 Distearate, Fragrance, Polyquaternium-10, Tetrasodium EDTA, Quaternium-15, Citric Acid, Yellow 10 and Orange 4.

It is avaliable in 100ml - 750ml, unless you get into business size bottles which go to mammoth
size, kinda like buying all your shampoo at once!! Silly me! Prices range from shop to shop, you can often find the 300ml bottles in pound shops and pound counters in chemists. Otherwise loads of main stores, such as Boots and Sainsbury's offer buy one get one free promotions. They are regular enough for you to never have to pay full price for my again.

This shampoo is suitable for all ages and is kind and gentle to your skin and scalp. I won't be swapping brands for Kayleigh especially as Johnson's grows with your child, with detangling spray, shampoo and conditioner for when their hair gets longer. And they answer you back and will tell you they wany L'oreal for kids because the advert on television is better!! Hee hee

I still buy Johnsons for my kids too and they're well out of baby stage - the shampoo is a great mascara remover too. :O)
