“ Brand: Katie Price / Subcategory: Treatment / Type: Hair Treatment „
Ok so we all have our opinions on katie Price/Jordan. Personally I'm not keen on the woman but I do follow what she gets up to as I find her a bit of a train wreck...but this review isn't about her, it's about her product!
To my surprise the other day when I was in T.J Hughes I spotted a huge range of beauty products adorning her name on them but it was the pretty packaging that initially drew me to her products and then I spotted the price and at most things (including this) costing only £1.99 a tub I knew instantly I was making a huge saving but then I sniffed the products, liked the fragrance and needed some hair products so I was sold! Believe me it had little do with the products being Katie Price ones in the end!
Pink plastic heart shaped pot that holds 250ml of the conditioner within it. Its a deep pot and the top part unscrews from the bottom to reveal a large hole which you have to either scoop the product out of or tip the underneath over to dispense it into your hands. On the top of the pot there is a light pink and silver heart shaped label and on that in silver writing I am told that it is Katie Price Silk Protein Reconditioning Treatment 'Moisturising and conditioning treatment for coloured or damaged hair' and there are a few pink hearts designed like flowers on there giving it a pretty girly feel. On the bottom of the pot we are told a bit about the product, how to use it and ingredients are listed, the size is stated, we are told to use the product up within 12 months after opening it and contact details for Jigsaw are given (the manufacturer of the product). Initially I liked the packaging of this as I previously stated however it is incredibly hard to put it back together again and basically it doesn't making the pot unsecure, also the label telling us what it is on the top of it slid off and gave me a plain looking pot so its not really any good to display!
A Bit About The Product According To The Information Listed On The Back Of The Pot:
Enrich your hair with this intensive conditioning treatment featuring a blend of olive oil, wheat proteins, glycerine and amino acids which help to rebuild your hairs structure and leave it feeling smooth and strong.
Well all you do use this is to apply a good dollop of the light pink glossy looking conditioner to damp/wet hair and leave it to penetrate the hair for about 3-5 minutes a time (thats according to the information given on the pot of course though its up to you!). You can use this as many times in a week as you feel the need to and it has a gentle clean and very soft, delicate smell of flowers to it...but it isn't a heavy fragrance at all.
This is incredibly easy and straightforward to use. A little goes a long way indeed, it smooths and absorbs into the hair with ease and doesn't give any adverse feeling to the hair and/or scalp when its on. It rinses out with complete ease too leaving hair feeling soft and supple and easy to comb/brush through and then your left to of course dry it.
This is a really nice conditioner....again forget who is behind it if you feel the need to! It leaves no residue on the hair once rinsed out, leaves the hair feeling strong and the colour renewed. Once small complaint, for me is the oh so subtle scent that really doesn't stay put for long at all but I can't complain about my hairs colour renewal and subtle and not over the top shine at all and my hair feels stronger and easy to control.
This is a great hair conditioner and actually not what I expected when it comes from a celebrity but this contains great ingredients and has a science behind it. I am not one bit happy with the packaging though at all mind you and my pot after bing used once looks awful cos I can't twist the lid back on and it has no label on the top of it but aside from that I have to congratulate Katie Price...she knows a good product!
Google this online if interested and it costs £6.61 on Amazon (not including p+p) and on other sites for a couple of quid more than that or get on down to T.J Hughes!
