The product I am reviewing is the Reflection Chroma Captive product from Kerastase which is specifically for colour treated hair. The product is a rinse out treatment for coloured hair which helps to protect colour intensity and leaves your hair looking shiny. The special ingredients in this product help to leave hair smooth and shiny for maximum light reflection from root to tip. It also maximises longevity and radiance of your hair colour and helps to preserve colour depth and shine for up to 40 days when used with other products in this range. The product contains Linseed Oil which is proven to reduce colour fading by 33-50%. It also contains Vitamin E and UV Filters which protect against oxidative aggressors than can lead to colour fading. The product comes in a bright pink bottle (more of a dark pink) which stands on its lid. On the front of the bottle it states what the product is and the brand of the product can clearly be seen on the front of the bottle. On the back is some information on how to use the product and a list of ingredients. This information is displayed in a number of different languages. The product packaging looks good and does look like a salon quality product rather than a product you may purchase from your local supermarket or Boots store.

I purchased this from www.gorgeousshop.co.uk for £16.43, which is one of the cheapest places on the internet. You can also purchase this from most good hair salons as well; how-ever prices may be more expensive than those found on the internet. This price is for a 200ml bottle.
Using the Product

I shampooed my hair first with the Bain Chroma Captive Shampoo to ensure results would be better than using the conditioner with a different product from another range. It states to apply this product to towel dried hair and massage through the lengths and ends. It advises you to leave the product in your hair for 2-3 minutes and then rinse out. After rinsing the shampoo from my hair I squeezed any access water out and towel dried my hair to ensure that it was as dry as I could get it and wasn't dripping water everywhere. I flipped open the lid and squeezed out some of the product. This was a lot runnier than I imagined and was in fact runnier than the shampoo I had just used. The colour of the product was white and it had a nice light smell to it, how-ever it didn't smell as strong as the shampoo in this range. I applied it to my hair ensuring all the lengths and ends were covered in the treatment. My hair is just past shoulder length and I find that an amount slightly larger than a 2p coin is enough to cover my hair. I used a wide toothed comb to comb the product through and then left it for at least 2-3 minutes before rinsing the product out. The product rinses out easily and I used my hand to ensure that the entire product was rinsed out thoroughly. As I ran my fingers through my wet hair I noticed that it felt really soft and smooth. After rinsing the product out I wrapped my hair in a towel for a good few minutes before using the hair dryer to dry my hair. I normally apply some leave in conditioner in my hair; how-ever I didn't this time as I wanted to see how good this product really was. I used the wide toothed comb again to comb my hair through. The comb went straight through my hair without it getting caught on any knots or tangles for rinsing the product out. I was surprised at how easy the comb glided through my hair as quite often I end up getting knots in my hair. I used the hairdryer to dry my hair as normal until it was at least 95% dry. I looked at the results in the mirror. My hair looked shiny and vibrant and the colour looked much brighter than it had done before washing it. My hair looked in fantastic condition and it felt amazingly soft and silky to touch. I was really, really impressed with the results and decided this was the best conditioning treatment I have ever used on my hair. There wasn't really much of a scent of the product in my hair which was a little disappointing. I normally wash my hair every 3 days and I could still leave my hair for 3 days before it needed washing as this product didn't leave my hair greasy and it didn't leave any residue in it either.

Although this conditioner was quite expensive and isn't what I would normally pay for a shampoo I was really pleased with the results and I thought it left my hair looking and feeling greater than any other conditioner I have used before. This product of course works best when used with the shampoo in this range and I wouldn't use the conditioner with a different brand/type of shampoo as I don't think the results would be as good. I love everything about this shampoo including the packaging and the way the product leaves your hair feeling. I am convinced that this product leaves my hair looking much more radiant than any other colour shampoo/conditioners I have used in the past. The only downsides to the product are the price and the lack of scent that the product leaves in your hair which is a shame. I will definitely be using this product again and will be buying more when I have run out. If you have coloured hair then I would highly recommend this product as I think it's brilliant.
