      Advantages

      Disadvantages

A great conditioner to use if you have long hair which can look dull .

Around a year ago I bought some L'Oreal Elvive Nutri-Gloss Crystal shampoo having been previously pleased with their Nutri-Gloss light range. I found it to be just as good as the Nutri-Gloss Light range and especially the crystals in the shampoo which added much needed shine to my hair. I never bought the matching conditioner at the time and carried on using the Nutri-Gloss Light conditioner as well as another favourite conditioner of mine from the Pantene range. It wasn't until fairly recently that I actually got round to purchasing this Nutri-Gloss Crystal conditioner as I always preferred to buy my favourites which I know and trust. However, I finally decided I should give this conditioner a go, as I really like the matching shampoo and despite it being a hard decision to tempt me away from my favourites, I took the plunge and bought a bottle which cost £2.89 for a regular size bottle. L'Oreal Elvive Nutri-Gloss Crystal conditioner looks exactly like its matching counterpart crystal shampoo from the outside, but that is where the similarity ends. I must admit I was expecting the conditioner to have the same clear gel-like consistency with visible sparkling crystals just like the shampoo has, but it hasn't. Instead it looks much like the Nutri-Gloss Light conditioner I have used with a pale pink creamy consistency. L'Oreal state that this sparkling haircare range is enriched with Micro-Crystals and gives hair 50% more shine from the first use. Indeed the sparkling crystals are clearly visible in the shampoo, but I couldn't really see any in the conditioner. These crystals specifically target long, dull hair that has lost its sparkle, which is ideal for me as I have long hair which is prone to becoming dry at the ends and can look dull sometimes, but can also be greasy at the roots. I also have a natural curl to my hair and sometimes in wet or humid conditions this can cause my hair to become frizzy and look dry. I wash my hair often, sometimes every day, because if I don't then it begins to feel greasy at the roots and dirty, which makes me feel uncomfortable. I also often use straighteners on my hair to obtain a sleek look, but of course the heat from straighteners etc can all take its toll on your hair and therefore I am always keen to use products which can restore shine and gloss to my hair and I use a John Frieda shine shock glosser along with various deep conditioning treaments and hair masques to help prevent my hair from looking dull. Bearing all this in mind, it was good to find the shampoo in this range with its crystals to help restore the shine to your hair and I have found it a very good shampoo to use and have bought it regularly over the last year. This matching conditioner, despite it looking different to how I expected it to look, also performs well on my hair. It has a creamy smooth texture which is quickly absorbed into my hair after shampooing and is easily worked through the strands with my fingers, leaving my hair tangle-free and smooth. I personally use a fair amount as I have long hair and like it to feel well-conditioned and I pay particular attention to the lengths of my hair and much less at the roots, where my hair has a tendancy to become greasy. It is easily rinsed out too and I am left with smooth and soft hair prior to drying. As well as looking different, this conditioner also has a different texture to its matching shampoo which is thicker and more gel-like, whilst this condtioner is creamy and much thinner, but without being runny. After drying my hair I am impressed with its softness after using this conditioner and have also found with continued use it certainly helps keep the dullness at bay. I have used some conditioners which have left my hair feeling dry or have left a residue behind and I am pleased to report this is certainly not the case with Nutri-Gloss Crystal conditioner. It also has a pleasant fragrance which I can smell on my hair throughout the day after using it. Overall, despite me being initially surprised at this conditioner not being like the matching shampoo with its visible crystals as I expected, I am more than happy to keep using it on a regular basis. It helps restore shine and vitality to long hair and I can recommend you give it a go if your hair is looking dull. I still use other products to help keep my hair in good condition too, but this conditioner is one of the best I have used and certainly plays its part in my battle against dull hair.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

        Excellent conditioner.

Up until recently I used to buy the matching conditioner with every bottle of shampoo I brought. I then decided I needed to try and make a few financial cut backs in my shopping so one of the first things to go was conditioner. To my delight I discovered my hair is quite resilient and stays shiny, knot free and relatively frizz free with out the help of a conditioner. Last week my Husband said I should get myself a nice bottle of shampoo and conditioner as I had been using any random shampoo that was on offer or in the pound shop. So off I pottered to Boots, I really like shopping in Boots but it is not something I allow my self to do very often as the monthly food and toiletries allowance would soon disappear. To my great joy L'Oreal Elvive was on a half price offer at £1.99 for a 400ml bottle. It was with great happiness that I brought the Nutri-Gloss Crystal shampoo and its companion Nutri-Gloss Crystal Sparkling conditioner. I already knew that the conditioner was a great investment as my hair was proving itself to be in better condition than I thought so I would only use the conditioner once a week. The conditioner comes in a lid down bottle, the lovely pink bottle matches the shampoo perfectly and tells me that it gives 'weightless moisture' and that it contains 'pearl + micro crystals'. The conditioner itself is what I would call a baby pink colour, it has a glossy look to it and a much stronger scent than the shampoo, making it the shampoo's perfect partner. The scent is soapy and clean and smells like a nice hair salon. After washing my hair with the matching shampoo it was only natural that I follow up with the conditioner. The conditioner is easy to squeeze out of the bottle, it is not too runny which makes it easy to smooth through my hair. I have quite long hair that seems to get greasy at the roots before it gets dirty elsewhere so I only apply the conditioner to the length of my hair. I like to leave conditioner on for a minute or so as I like to give it time to do its work. The conditioner rinses easily from my hair and leaves my hair incredibly soft feeling. As I had used conditioner I decided to blow dry my hair for the best shiny and smooth result. I was not disappointed. My hair dries up smooth, shiny and soft. I can smell the scent of the conditioner on my hair slightly. With the conditioner on my hair stayed soft and knot free for the whole day, although it felt very light I did not suffer from fly away hairs or static. All things considered I think this is a great conditioner, as I only condition once a week I can see this bottle lasting me absolutely ages. The only issue I have with the bottle is that the top down design leaves the bottle very prone to the lid getting clogged up with excess product. I think the price is a little steep at £3.99 but half price (£1.99) makes this a bit of a bargain. Thank you for reading.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

Good at what is says it will do and recommended

One range of hair products I like is the L'Oreal Elvive range. I normally but the smooth/sleek range but I tend to find this isn't as widely available as the others so when I last needed to get some shampoo and conditioner, I decided to get the Nutrigloss range as because I straighten my hair a lot, it can look quite dull. The conditioner comes in a 400ml bottle which has a flip top flat lid to the bottom - I prefer the bottles that stand on their lid as I don't end up having a fight in the shower to get the last dribs out the end of the bottle! The bottle is pale pink colour which has the L'Oreal logo to the front. The RRP is around £4.99, quite often though I have found the whole range to be on either 3 for 2 or a half price promotional offer in either the supermarkets or places such as Boots or Superdrug. The conditioner is quite thick and white (with a hint of pink) in colour and feels quite silky when I apply. To use, apply from roots to tip and like most modern conditioners, there is no need to leave in, just rinse straight away. One of my favourite aspects of the Elvive range is the fragrance, they smell quite fruity but no synthetic or too sickly, I find that my hair seems to hold the fragrance really well too. Upon rinsing, I immediately knew this conditioner was doing a good job and my hair felt a lot softer (unless I am using a treatment, I don't tend to comb my hair when applying a conditioner but upon rinsing this, my hair felt a lot less tangled, so much so as if I had combed it). Upon styling my hair, I was really happy with how soft my hair felt and it did actually shine a bit more than it does using other conditioners which boast to do the same thing. For best results, L'Oreal recommend you use after washing your hair with the shampoo from the same range and to be honest, I do agree with this, mixing and matching doesn't seem to give the same effect. L'Oreal state the range is best used by people with long, fine and dull hair, my hair is long, full but quite thick and I still found the results were excellent. Overall, this is a good conditioner at a reasonable price and therefore I would recommend and give it 5 out of 5 stars. Thanks for reading.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

Im always buying new shampoo and conditioners, I came across L'Oreal Elvive conditioner. Its bright pink, shiny packaging drew me in. L'Oreal promises that the conditioner will condition, hydrate and give your hair a shiny/glossy finish. L'Oreal has certainly kept that promise as my hair became soft, glossy and hydrated. How do you use this product? You use this product like anyother conditioner. Apply generously to damp/wet hair, Then wash out throughly. A great product, I would recomded this to family and friends! A reasonable price around £2-£3. Does exactly what it claims to do. Overall a very good product and a matching shampoo is advailable. No disadvantages although the product doesnt last very long, depending on how often you use it.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

A conditioning product which leaves the hair feeling soft and shiny

I am alwasy buying new conditioners to try out on my hair and there is nothing I love more than a bit of sparkle. When I saw the Nutri-Gloss Crystal Conditioner, I knew I would have to have it. What does the product do? The product promises to condition the hair, hydrating it and leaving it feeling soft and silky. The formula contains Pearl and Micro Crystals which claim to smooth the hair surface meaning it can better reflect the light and makes it shine with health. The conditioner is lightweight so it promises not to weigh down the hair and to give it plenty of body and movement. How do you use the product? The product is to be used in the same way as your usual conditioner. It is to be used on damp hair that has already been shampooed. You dispense a generous amount of the product from the bottle and massage it through the length of the hair. After a few minutes, you can rinse out the product thoroughly and then dry and style the hair as usual. Packaging and Price The product comes contained within a pearlescent powder pink bottle which has a metallic shiny sticker on the front given a tiny bit more tiny about the product, with some more give on the back. It has a pink flip top lid on which it can stand and it is easy to open and close the bottle, even with hands that are wet and soapy. The product costs around £3 for 400ml of the conditioner and it can be bought from stores such as Boots and Superdrug, large supermarkets and also from a variety of online websites. Application and Performance The conditioner looks really pretty. It is powder pink and creamy in colour, with a pearly finish and shimmering particles. It doesn't look like the average conditioner and as a person who was quite possibly a magpie in a previous life, I really like it. It's aroma is a little bit fruity and fresh, and very girly which again is a positive as I like it when my products smells lovely. The consistency doesn't have a very thick consistency for a conditioner but it's still thick enough to make me feel likely it's coating my hair well and doing a good job. The aroma is evident at this point and it feels completely comfortable on my scalp. The product is easily rinsed out of the hair when it comes to the time to do so. My hair can be brushed through after use and there aren't many tangles in my hair. My hair has a nice shine to it, but it's not massively shinier than before and the effects don't really compare with those of Dazzling Shine by Herbal Essence. It does feel softer though and it is quite well conditioned. It doesn't weigh down my hair or make it look greasy so it does still have plenty of body and movement. It doesn't make a huge difference to my hair but it does moisturise my hair slighty and it smells nice even once my hair has dried.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

          a great conditioner

I was shopping in BnM Bargains recently, when my sister recommended that I tried this conditioner. I had never heard of it before, but trust the L'Oreal brand so I decided to pick it up and give it a go. I never really expected it however to be as nice of a conditioner, especially for the price I paid for it. Scent This conditioner smells lovely, it has a really nice fresh smell that reminds me of the hair dressers. My hair smells lovely for ages after I have used this conditioner which is great as it means I do not need to wash my hair as often when I use this. Application This conditioner is really easy to apply, I simply took a dollop in my hands and worked it through my hair, then rinsed it out after about 1 minute. I found that I didn't need to use too much of it to get good results. Results I am really pleased with the results from this conditioner. When I use it my hair feels much healthier and really soft and almost feels as good as my hair feels when I first dye it or go to the hair dressers. I found that this conditioner makes my hair look much healthier and my hair isn't as frizzy or look as dead, even at the ends. This makes styling my hair much more easier as it is more manageable than usual. My favourite thing about this conditioner is that it does not weigh down my hair or make it feel greasy, I can go 2-3 days without washing my hair after using this conditioner. This is great as I usually need to wash my hair every day. Price and Availability You can buy this conditioner for £3.99 in Boots and sometimes they have it on offer, however I got a fantastic deal in BnM Bargains, I got both the shampoo and conditioner for £1.25 each. I think that this is a fantastic price for such a great quality conditioner. Overall I think that this is a fantastic conditioner, it smells lovely, is easily applied and it gives great results. Also if you shop around, it isn't even that expensive. Overall I would give this conditioner 5 out of 5 stars. *also on ciao under lorrainek90

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

A gorgeous conditioner from the L'Oreal Elvive range

I would never previously have considered myself to be brand loyal when it comes to shampoos or conditioners although for the past 12 months or so, I have been purchasing products belonging to both Dove and L'Oreal. My hair reaches below my shoulders and is thick and curly with the ends being prone to dryness. Consequently, my choice of hair products is as equally important as those that I use on my skin. Earlier this year I made purchases of a shampoo and conditioner from the L'Oreal Elvive Nutri-Gloss range with this review discussing the Sparkling Conditioner, which is suitable for fine, normal and dull hair. The packaging is considerably feminine with its eye catching colour of bright pink and as a result, it was easy to spot on the supermarket shelf. The Crystal range is fairly new and the concept is that the formula will quench the hair fibre with moisture and subsequently deliver soft, smooth and light hair. As I like to obtain maximum benefits from my hair products I will always use those that match, so I initially washed my hair using the shampoo from the same range. The bottle neatly sits on a flip top lid, which is easily opened and securely closed when not in use. I found the pale pink conditioner easy to dispense where it offered a good consistency together with a stunning aroma, which I would describe as delicately floral. Despite my hair being thick it was only necessary to use a 50p sized amount, which was easily spread and massaged through to the ends of my hair. According to L'Oreal, the conditioner contains micro-crystals and whilst these are not evident, it is claimed that they will illuminate and smooth the surface of the hair to enable improved light reflection together with crystal shine. Unfortunately, L'Oreal frequently fails to provide directions for use, so I left the conditioner to sink into my hair for approximately five minutes. I am always able to assess when a conditioner is of a high quality, as I am able to easily comb my fingers through my hair following application, so I had high hopes that the product would offer good results. The product was easily rinsed away without leaving any residue and my hair felt wonderfully smooth to the touch. I favoured the fact that after blow drying I was still able to witness the delicate floral aroma, which unfortunately, was soon masked with the scent of my styling products. I can totally agree with L'Oreal's claim that the conditioner is weightless as it delivered superb results to my hair leaving it soft with a healthy shiny appearance with no fluffiness. However, I cannot admit to my hair offering any more of a shine than normal, so I believe the micro-crystal claim is somewhat of a gimmicky marketing ploy. Despite my opinion of the micro-crystals, I can highly recommend this conditioner, which should be used within 12 months of opening with the bottle being recyclable once empty. The conditioner generally tends to retail at around £3.99 per 400 ml bottle, but at the time of writing, you can purchase two at Boots for £6. I can also highly recommend the matching shampoo and when used together they offer superb results.
