Disadvantages: None for me!
If I walk into a shop or a supermarket and I see a new shampoo, especially if it's a L'Oreal one, you are guaranteed that I will want to try it, regardless of the price - so this shampoo was going to be no different. I didn't really need to get another bottle, I'd not long bought a bottle that I didn't really like but was going to persist with anyway. Instead though I find myself using this one, purely because I prefer it!
~*~ L'Oreal Elvive ~*~
L'Oreal Elvive make hair products, and they make a lot of them - from anti dandruff shampoo and conditioners, to ones for coloured hair, and ones for hair prone to breaking. You name it and they probably do it to be honest, and most are endorsed by celebrities that quite obviously don't use the shampoo they advertise. For a number of years now I've been using L'Oreal Elvive products, for about six years, and they have got a bigger selection now than I can ever remember, so much so it's hard to make a choice - well I say that, it wasn't so hard when I saw this bottle!
~*~ Crystal Sparkling ~*~
This shampoo claims to use weightless moisture, and micro pearl beads to help give your hair and crystal shine, and a feathery touch. This is a big claim for a shampoo, especially with all the other shampoos out there - that claim to moisturise your hair and make it shiny. I was inclined to believe L'Oreal to be honest because I've been using their Restore 5 for about a year and it's done my hair the world of good, even though it's really only a cheap a shampoo compared to the stuff used in hairdressers. So I thought I'd give it a go!
The shampoo itself is a big plus for the bottle, it is very girly no doubts about that it comes in a pink bottle, with a blue lid, which is a bit bizarre considering it's a very feminine bottle fair enough though! I'm a big fan of this new shape bottle than the older L'Oreal ones because they are more angular so it's easier to get it out at the end of the bottle I have found, because those rounder ones did my bonce in trying to get the last bit of shampoo out, and when you get to the bottom now the lid is easier to remove completely to shake those last dregs out!
The amazing thing about the actual liquid shampoo is that it's sparkly! Literally glitters in the bottle, it's one of the first things that drew me to it actually which is probably a bit girly of me but I don't care it looks amazing. For a second I thought it was just inside the bottle - until I squeezed it and moved the shampoo around inside the bottle, I was very impressed and text a friend telling her she needed to get a bottle of this next time she needed some. Purely on the look of the bottle! When the shampoo is squeezed out into your hand you will have a nice blob of sparkly liquid, I have just longer than shoulder length hair, and use around a fifty pence piece sized amount which when rubbed into my hair covers the entire amount without any extra needed. So it will last me a while, for that reason alone. It foams up really well, to give your hair a good thorough clean - and it smells amazing there is a really fruity/citrusy smell to this that will fill up your bathroom and your nostrils for a while!
When you come to wash it out; you'll be impressed it washes out really easily, and without really having to scrub at it. I find with cheaper shampoos that it residue sticks around the top of my head and can leave my hair looking really greasy still, so this shampoo similarly with all L'Oreal shampoos cleans out really well and leaves my hair feeling clean and fresh, and my scalp refreshed and not tight or itchy at all. You won't get sparkly water when you wash the shampoo out though, so don't be disappointed when you just get plain water coming off your head - or in my case red hair dye! My hair felt quite soft just after one wash which was very impressive, after blow drying which didn't take quite as long after using this shampoo, which I'm not sure is meant to happen but I'll use it as a plus - my hair was really light definitely feathery to the touch. My wayward fringe was actually letting me style it after this shampoo instead of just going wherever it fancied like it normally does, straightening didn't affect it much either it left it feeling quite light and definitely shiny in the sunlight, more so than just in dull light. I felt a difference in my hair straight away because it felt lighter, with less residue than normal it was also a lot softer - and even despite blow drying and straightening it smelt fabulous!
Highly recommended!
