Advantages: Makes the hair shiny, clean and soft
Disadvantages: None
After trying and liking the Nutri-Gloss Crystal Conditioner, I saw the Nutri-Gloss Crystal Shampoo on offer in my local supermarket and snapped it right up. I love sparkling things and I could actualyl see the glitter in the formula... I just couldn't leave it behind!
What does the product do?
The product promises to cleanse the hair to remove impurities and hair product leaving it squeaky clean and feeling soft and silky. Just like the conditioner, included in the shampoo is Pearl and Micro Crystals. Their inclusion means that the hair cuticles will be smoothed which makes the hair shine and hides any split ends. The shampoo has been specifically designed for long, fine and dull hair which has lost its sparkle.
How do you use the product?
The product is to be used in the same way as your usual shampoo. You need to dispense a generous amount into your hands and then massage it into the roots and through the length of damp hair. After a few minutes, you rinse out the shampoo thoroughly and then follow it up with a good conditioner, dry and style the hair as usual.
Packaging and Price
The shampoo comes contained within a see through pink plastic bottle and it has a bit more information about the product included on a sticker on the back. It has a pink flip top lid which has a pale blue rim and the design makes it easy to open and close the bottle even if your hands are wet. You can see the shampoo inside the bottle and you can see the tiny glitter particles suspensed in the liquid which looks really pretty. You can buy the shampoo for around £3 for 400ml. It is available from stores such as Boots and Superdrug, large supermarkets and you can also buy the shampoo from a variety of online websites.
Application and Performance
The shampoo has the consistency of a gel which is what you expect from shampoo and you can still see the glitter particles when you dispense the product into your hand. It has a touch of pink to it and it looks really pretty! It smells a touch fruity and really fresh and clean, much the same as the conditioner. The product makes a lovely lather in the hair and it really does make you feel like it's doing a good job of cleansing the hair. It doesn't irritate my scalp or cause my any discomfort and it feels completely comfortable on my sometimes sensitive scalp. You can smell the shampoo quite evidently as you wash your hair with it.
After you hair is dry, the glitter particles have vanished so it doesn't make your hair sparkle in this way which will be a relief to all among us apart from the teeny boppers! I love glitter but I don't actually want it in my hair! Nevertheless, it does give the hair a nice shine and makes it easy to brush through as there are no tangles. It hydrates the hair which makes it easy to manage and it doesn't weigh my hair down and make it look flat. The shampoo cleans my hair nicely, removing all grease and hairspray leaving it looking bouncy and fresh. It manages to keep my hair clean for around 48 hours which is great as I normally wash my hair every other day.
Conclusion
All in all, this is a great shampoo that makes your hair look lovely, fresh and clean. It smells nice, feels soft and it is free from tangles. I would happily buy this again and even though I'm not sure if the glitter particles actually do anything to my hair, it certainly looks pretty in the bottle!
Summary: A great shampoo which cleanses the hair and leaves it shiny and soft
