Advantages: makes hair lovely, soft and shiny
Disadvantages: none for me really
I have been using the L'Oreal elvive nutri-gloss light for quite some time now as I found it works well on my hair for the most part. The shampoo comes in a pink packaging and so in Boots one day I literally grabbed the pink shampoo off the shelf only to realise when I got home that I had picked up the L'Oreal nutri-gloss crystal sparkling shampoo instead as that is also pink! I hadn't heard of or tried this product before but obviously having it at home has meant that I have been using it regularly and this is my review of it.
As I mentioned the shampoo comes in a similar looking bottle to the nutri-gloss light shampoo range and so it is pink in colour and I love that as I have lots of pink accessories in my bathroom so it actually looks as though it should be in my bathroom. The bottle has a light blue coloured lid which you life to expose the hole in which you squeeze the shampoo out.
The bottle has the L'Oreal name as well as the product name too and we are told on there that this sparkling shampoo will give our hair a crystal shine and feather touch as well as weightless moisture so it does sound a promising product. The back of the bottle does tell us a little about how as hair grows it can become sensitive and lack shine and vitality as well as how this product will work to make our hair look its best. What I obviously didn't realise when I bought this as I thought I was picking up my usual shampoo was the fact that this one says it is for fine to normal dull hair and my hair is pretty thick to be honest but I do often end up using a shampoo not for my hair type and have found them to work well so this didn't really worry me too much.
The crystal shampoo that I purchased has 250ml of the product it the recyclable bottle but I think you can buy them in larger bottles too. This one cost me around £2.70 I think but they can often be bought on offer for a more reasonable price I have found. You have twelve months to use this shampoo from opening.
The first thing that I realised when I squeezed some of this shampoo on to my hand to apply to my wet hair was the fact that is does actually have sparkly bits in it! Apparently this sparkling formula illuminates and smoothes the hair surface so that it better reflects in the light and looks nice and shiny. The clear but sparkly shampoo smells lovely and fresh and I do think it smells quite girly so I don't think a man would really choose to purchase this one for himself.
The shampoo lathers really well on my wet hair and although I have long hair I don't need much per wash to get a good lather and to feel as though my hair has been thoroughly cleaned. When I wash this shampoo out of my hair I never feel as though there is any residue left behind and my hair does just feel nice and soft to be honest. Drying my hair after using this product always means that the scent of the shampoo does pretty much disappear but I can handle that because my hair really is left feeling soft and light and it looks really shiny too so I can say that this shampoo is correct in the claims it advertises on its bottle really.
I do tend to alternate using this shampoo with some others simply because if I use the same shampoo all the time my hair gets used to it and just rebels and as I quite like this shampoo I don't want that to happen so alternating it with others makes sense to me.
I would totally recommend this shampoo if you are looking for your hair to feel nice and soft and also have a lovely healthy looking shine to it. It is an averagely priced product which can be found on offer and so I would say give it a go as I think you are likely to be impressed.
Thank you for reading my review!
Summary: A good offering from L'Oreal
