Following on from my review of the corresponding shampoo, L'Oreal Elvive Nutri Gloss Light, I thought I would review the conditioner in the range.
Well, I couldn't be happier with this conditioner. It manages to leave my hair silky smooth and easy to detangle - no mean feat; and leaves my hair light and fluffy feeling and not weighed down. I'm used to conditioners that offer this much moisture leaving my hair very flat and lifeless looking but this one manages to be perfect for my fine, thin hair.
I love the shape of the bottle as the nozzle is pointing downwards, making it says to dispense the product. The only downside of this, is it is easy to dispense too much product, but this is only a minor problem, especially considering how cheap it is. The conditioner smells beautiful and has a light, creamy texture. As this is so moisturizing I find I do not have to leave it on as long as other conditioners and it washes out easily.
I have been using this every time I have washed my hair since I got it, which is a ringing endorsement as I seem to buy new shampoos and conditioners on a regular basis and chop and change. The fact that I have stuck with this one, shows I am very happy with it.
==L'Oreal Elvive Nutri Gloss Light Conditioner==
I don't always buy shampoo and conditioner at the same time as I tend to use far less conditioner than I do shampoo. However this L'Oreal Elvive Pearl Protein Shampoo and Light Conditioner was on special in boots for buy one get one free with the RRP of one bottle being £3.59 so it worked out well considering I was running low on both products.
This price for a single bottle is a lot better than a lot of other shampoos I usually buy which was quite pleasing and the bottle was a good size of 250 ml which lasted me around a couple of months with using it around once a week.
The packaging of the product is pretty good and I do like the pink colourings of the plastic bottle as it feels girly and modern all at the same time. The flip top is easy to open in the shower and easy to dispense from. The product inside the packaging is just as good. The conditioner is a very thick creamy type of product which is a light pink colour. The aroma is really very nice and again this has a quite girly feel to it. It is light and sweet although not too strong and just like the shampoo I feel the scent could afford to be a little strong so that it would last more in the hair after use.
A little of the conditioner goes a good way and as I tend to only apply conditioner to my tips of hair I really need no more than a 50 pence piece size although as with the shampoo I still need to curb my use of it as I always seem to pour out more than needed!
The conditioner doesn't foam but glides through my hair tips with ease and feels super soft going on and the more I work it into my hair the better my hair feels. The aroma is delicious and the feel of my hair is pretty good too. The real effects of this product are noticed after rinsing and when combing through the hair which is done without any real effort. The conditioner certainly does do the job intended of it and it leaves the hair soft and without any major knots.
All in all I have to admit to being really very fond of this conditioner. The shampoo and conditioner work really well together and I kind find fault in this conditioner on its own. It is a good price, has a bottle good design, smells good and works brilliantly. All of this means one thing and that it that I am more than happy to award a top score of 5 out of 5 stars and a high recommendation!
I do hope that this has been of some help/interest to you
Many thanks for taking the time to read
As you may see from a previous review I recently decided to give L'Oreal Elvive Nutri-Gloss Shine Shampoo a try, my highlights are due to be done in a couple of weeks so I wasn't too worried about buying a shampoo and conditioner for coloured hair and went for what ever was on offer. As I brought the shampoo in this range I decided to get the matching conditions, L'Oreal Elvive Nutri-Gloss Shine Conditioner, as with the shampoo it is suitable for mid to long hair with the promise of a mirror shine after use, so ideal for what I needed to brighten up my highlights for a couple of weeks.
The bottle that the Nutri-Gloss Shine Conditioner comes in is basically the same as the one the shampoo comes in, the bottle is a pale pink colour, the base of it doubles up as a lid and is made from a transparent darker pink plastic, this is a flip lid making it very easy to open and close even with wet hands. There is a clear pearl effect label on the front, this has the name of the conditioner written at the top in silver, black and white with some of it being written inside a darker pink box. The rest of the label as with the shampoo is taken up with a large pink and silver shiny rectangle with the words "Protein and Pearl" written inside of it and "Mirror Shine, Cashmere Touch" written just beneath it. The words "Mid to long Dull Hair" are written at the bottom of the label. The back of the bottle has the same clear label containing all of the product information including \ statement about the conditioner, directions for use, ingredients and cautions. These are clearly written and set out in a way which is easy to read and follow should you require any information about the product. The contact details for L'Oreal can also be found on the back of the bottle should you need them.
The Conditioner is a very pale pink colour, slightly lighter than the colour of the shampoo. The consistency of this conditioner is quite thick, personally I find that if the conditioner if of a decent consistency and not too runny it tends to be of a better quality, this may not always be true this is just what I have discovered from trying different conditioners so I was hoping that this one was going to live up to expectations. When I smelt the conditioner inside the bottle it had the same fruity yet sweet fragrance as the shampoo so they complemented each other perfectly, it also had that sickly sweetness that the shampoo had inside the bottle, however I wasn't too bothered by this as I already knew that the shampoo wasn't as sickly sweet as it had first smelt so I was hoping this was going to be the case with the conditioner. I squeezed quite a large amount of the conditioner into my hands, as I have very thick hair which is bleached I do need a lot of conditioner, to be honestly I probably go a bit over the top but I would rather use too much conditioner on my hair than not enough. I rubbed the conditioner into my hair from root to tip with my fingers and left it on there for a few minutes just to give it a bit of a deep condition. I rinsed the conditioner of after a while and was pleased to se that this rinsed out quickly and easily, there's nothing worse than thinking you have rinsed all of the conditioner out of your hair and then discover a bit you have missed once you have started drying. Once my hair was thoroughly rinsed I dried and styled it in my usual way, the conditioner made it very easy to brush my hair, even after conditioning it sometimes when it is wet it can get quite knotty and difficult to brush, however after using the Conditioner the brush seems to glide through nicely. One dried and straightened my hair still had a lovely fresh smell to it, it felt extremely soft and was very shiny, I was extremely pleased with the results. I didn't really take too much notice of what my hair was like before straightening it as I find my hair when dried and not straightened is rather frizzy, however I did notice that as I was working around it with the straighteners it did feel very soft to touch.
The back of the conditioner bottle promises a mirror shine and cashmere touch, these are then explained to you stating
*Mirror Shine - The conditioner contains pearl extract which smoothes and illuminates the hairs surface creating a shine
*Cashmere Touch - This particular conditioner is enriched with protein which nourishes your hair from root to tip making it extremely soft.
I was pleased to see that after use my hair was both soft and shiny, I don't say it was mirror shiny but it certainly looked a lot brighter and healthier than it did before as well as soft to touch.
Directions for Use
The directions for this product are very simple and state that you should apply the shampoo to wet hair working from root to tip and then rinse. when I used this conditioner I applied it to my hair and then left it for a few minutes to condition it deep down and then rinsed. I was also told by my hair dresser once that to give your hair a really good condition you should wash it with shampoo as normal then apply loads of conditioner and wrap it all in clingfilm and leave for a couple of hours. I have tried this and afterwards my hair felt extremely soft.
These are standard for this type of product and state that should you get the product into your eyes whilst using it, which I have to say is very easy to do, you should rinse them immediately with clean water.
Price & Availability
I purchased my Elvive Nutri-Gloss Shine Conditioner at the same time as the shampoo from my local Tesco although it is also available in shops such as Boots and Superdrug as well as most supermarkets. When I purchased it it was on offer for £1.89 which is a bargain in my opinion, where full price the 400ml bottle costs just over £3.00, I still think this is quite a good price and is an average price for this type of product. In my opinion it is worth the money as it is an excellent quality conditioner and does do what it says it will.
This is certainly a conditioner I would recommend and use in the future, the Elvive Nutri-Gloss Shine Conditioner really does work, after use my hair really does look in good condition and shiny, it really brightened up my highlights, I also found that my hair was very soft afterwards and very easy to brush. This product is in my opinion worth the money, I cannot really comment on whether it is long lasting or not as I really do go though a lot of conditioner, I always apply a lot to my hair due to the thickness so a large bottle only lasts me a few washes, but I would say that if you use a normal amount of conditioner it would work out as long lasting. This is ideal for the whole family and is perfect for brightening up dull hair, I would definitely buy this again and recommend it to anyone.
My hair needs a good shampoo and conditioner as I colour it often and that is harsh to hair. My hair is also prone to being greasy the day after it is washed and with a 2 year old I just don't have the time or the energy to wash and dry my hair every day!
It was by pure chance that I came across L'Oreal Elvive Nutri-Gloss light in my local Asda. It was priced at £2 for 400ml, the same for the matching shampoo, but it usually retails in most supermarkets for around £3.79 so it was a bargain. The bottle is pink which is my favourite colour so naturally it caught my eye! The lids are flip lids in a green colour. The shampoo has the lid on top and the conditioner has the lid on the bottom. This means that if you stand your conditioner on the lid as intended, it's always ready when you need it. It also makes it easier to differentiate between the conditioner and shampoo - something that isn't easy at first glance as the words 'shampoo' and 'conditioner' are in small fonts on the bottles!
The bottle states it is for mid to long length hair prone to greasiness - although I don't see why you couldn't use it on short hair! The conditioner itself is white in colour and quite a thin consistency, certainly thinner than most conditioners out there. The texture is very smooth and creamy and it lathers very easily and well. Despite it being quite thin, I didn't need to use as much as I normally do with other conditioners so a bottle actually goes quite far! There is a lovely fruity scent that comes out when you're lathering your hair, it's not overpowering and it smells really nice. Rinsing the conditioner out is quick and easy and it rinses out really well unlike thicker conditioners.
The result? I was very surprised and pleased to say that my hair at no point felt heavy or 'coated', and it left my hair a lot smoother than usual as well as very very soft. It also has a lovely subtle smell which I can still smell some twelve hours later.
My only problem with this conditioner is that it is not intensive enough for me - particularly as my hair is combination greasy but dry as I colour it blonde every month. It is a fabulous conditioner for regular use, but for me personally I would still need to use an intensive hair treatment at least once a month. On the bright side this is something I have always had to do anyway and is probably more to do with my hair than the brand of conditioner!
I have been very pleasantly surprised with this conditioner and definitely recommend it - no greasiness the next day for me anymore!
I bought this along with the matching shampoo when I saw it on a better than half price offer in Morrisons. I don't remember the exact price I paid, I just know it was under £2 for the 400ml bottle, but the usual price is £3.79.
It comes in a pink bottle which is very eye-catching and hard to miss on the shelves. It has a lime green flip top lid which makes it more convenient to use, and whereas the shampoo has the lid on top this has it on the bottom so that the conditioner is always ready to come out assuming you keep it stood on it's lid as intended. This also makes it easy to differentiate from the shampoo, which might sound silly, but when you're in a rush in the morning it can make all the difference!
The conditioner has quite a thin consistency but a smooth, creamy texture that massages easily through my hair. It has the same fresh citrus scent as the shampoo. Because it's not too thick it doesn't feel too heavy on my fine hair. It does take a while to rinse out but not as long as thicker conditioners, and once it's rinsed out my hair feels completely clean and not coated or heavy.
After drying my hair feels softer and smoother, and looks smoother and healthier. The matching shampoo sometimes makes my hair a little static, but I find following it with this negates the effect completely. The great thing about this conditioner is that while it leaves my hair soft and smooth, it doesn't make my fine hair look flatter than usual which is an unfortunate side effect of a lot of good conditioners.
Overall I think this is a great everyday conditioner, but it's not intensive so if you have dry hair you may need something richer. When I found the shampoo was beginning to dry my hair out I had to add a weekly intensive treatment to my routine as well as using this every day to get it back to it's usual condition.
Even though I don't have long hair I find that L'Oreal Elvive Nutri-Gloss Light Conditioner is the best one for my hair. I used it first by chance when I ran out of my own brand of conditioner on holiday so used my friends and have used it regularly ever since. My hair does not fit the description of the ideal user but if it works I don't see the point in changing brands.
I have dry hair and it always looks dull so anything that makes it look that little bit brighter has got to be worth using. The blurb says that it has pearl protein and citrus although I can't smell a lot of citrus and I don't know what pearl is supposed to smell like. The fragrance is light, sweet and quite pleasant but hard to define. When it comes out of the bottle it feels rich and creamy and has the slight sheen that a pearl has.
They claim that it is the part of the pearl that makes the pearl shine that is used and the citrus is meant to be the cleansing agent. I am not used to a conditioner that claims to clean as well as condition and while this might be the case I would not use it instead of the normal shampoo, but still use my normal shampoo beforehand.
It does not make my hair shine as much as the company claims, but it does look less dull than normal. It is easy to brush although I suppose shortish hair can't get that tangled. Even when it is only left on for a few minutes there is a clear difference between the texture of my hair before and after use. I do tend to use a little more than I normally would, but not so much more as it makes it too expensive.
The bottle is pink and has a flip top cap and details all of the items that are in it. As previously mentioned there is extract of pearl and citrus and there are a wide range of other items that I have never heard of but in case you are interested they include limonene, lanolin, cetyl esters, mathylpropional and poloxamer 407 plus many more.
My 250ml bottle cost £2.99 from a small independent chemist but I have seen it for less in Asda.
I have just reviewed the matching Shampoo of this product and since I like to use matching products then I just had to use this too. I have used Elvive products before and find that they work well on my Hair but this is the first time I have used this product.
This comes in a 250ml bottle and the normal price of this in my local Asda where I bought this was £2.60 but the range was on offer 2 for £4.
The bottle for this looks nice enough. It is a light pink colour and certainly stands out on the shelf. This stands on it's end so you should get all the drips out of this.
This smells like the Shampoo but not quite as strong a scent I would say. The scent is a pretty heavy floral kind of scent and not the kind of scent that I would normally go for, but once this has been washed out of your Hair then the scent is just a nice fragrance.
I was surprised at how thick the Cream was. Although most Conditoners are quite thick this just seemed to be that bit thicker than other ones. It was easy enough to work through my Hair and this rinsed out easily.
This Conditioner is for Medium-long Hair which is Dull and also Hair that tends to get Greasy quickly. That fits the bill of my Hair.
How did I find this worked on my Hair? I found that this worked great and my hair was left feeling Glossy and felt Deep down conditioned. My Hair was left nice and soft and there was a nice sheen on my Hair too. This seemed to keep the Oil away for the average time and I still do have to wash my Hair every other day.
A really good product and I will continue to use this as it seems to work great on my Hair.
Until trying L'Oreal's Nutri-gloss range I had never really been a fan of L'Oreal's shampoo and conditioners as past personal experiences had not been too good. However, as I have had more postive experiences with other L'Oreal products I have always tried to keep an open mind when it comes to this brand's products.
Because of those past experiences I wouldn't have bought this Nutri-Gloss Light conditioner, but after trying this when at a friend's house when getting my hair cut, I found I was really pleased with the results and bought some of the shampoo and conditioner when it was on offer at Asda shortly afterwards.
I have since bought the regular Nutri-Gloss shampoo and conditioner also, after receiving sample bottles and being fairly pleased with the results, but having tried both I found I do prefer the Nutri-Gloss 'Light' range.
I always use a conditioner on my hair after shampooing as without it, my hair feels dry and also looks frizzy, not to mention the tangles which make it difficult to comb. Using a conditioner enables my hair to look the best it possibly can and smoothes the hair shafts as well as providing a sleek shiny glow if I use what have been my favourite brands up to now such as Pantene and John Frieda. Having used this particular conditioner quite often now, I would say it does come a very close second to my favourite brands.
L'Oreal Nutri-Gloss conditioner comes in a very girly-pink bottle. I am not a fan of anything pink, therefore the packaging does little for me, but it is what is inside the bottle that really matters.
The conditioner contains a pearl protein complex to promote shine and bounce, promising mirror shine and cashmere touch. It is said to target your hair fibre and nourish from the roots to the tips, leaving it soft and shiny without leaving your hair feeling heavy. It stated on the bottle it was suitable for medium-long hair and as I have long hair I hoped my hair would feel soft and silky smooth with a glossy shine after using it.
I have used the matching shampoo and enjoyed the moisturising touch it provided, as well as the fragrance and the feel of my hair after rinsing it out. I thought that by using the matching conditioner, I would be left very impressed by these products overall.
The conditioner itself has a creamy texture, which is somewhat thicker than some conditioners I have used but still feels light and dipenses easily from the bottle. Massaging the conditioner into my hair after rinsing out the shampoo, I find it feels quite moisturising and luxurious.
When using the shampoo, I have been impressed by the fact that a little of the shampoo seems to go a long way, such is its moisturising and lathering capabilities and I am happy to report that the same can be said for this conditioner, even though I did find I had to use slightly more than I usually would in order to achieve full coverage of my hair.
My fingers glide easily through my hair both whilst applying it and rinsing it out and my hair feels as if it is being moisturised whenever I use this conditioner and feels very smooth but is also totally tangle-free.
I really like the fragrance of this conditioner, which I find is difficult to describe. Whilst not predominently floral or fruity, it has a lovely long-lasting fragrance which seems to combine both of these and produces a natural scented fragrance which I am sure most people would find appealing, particularly if you are a fan of the herbal essence-type hair products, as I would liken its fragrance to those products.
After drying and styling my hair after using this conditioner, it feels really soft and there is a noticeable shine. There is no product residue remaining on my hair and it all rinses out easily. My hair does not feel weighted down at all and the fragrance lingers all day.
I have however, achieved a slightly glossier and sleeker look to my hair when using a different conditioner and so for that reason this is not going to be my favourite, but it comes a very close second. I would still be happy to recommend this however, as it is by no means a poor conditioner and I buy it when I notice it is available on promotion as part of 'buy one get ones free' offers for example.
I also find it is often available at an offer price of around £1.50- £1.70 too and as the recommended price seems to be around or over £2.45 for the regular size bottle, this can be quite a bargain price.
Overall, L'Oreal Nutri-Gloss Light is not my all-time favourite conditioner, but it is still one I am happy to recommend.
** L'Oreal Elvive Nutri-Gloss Light Conditioner **
L'Oreal Paris is part of the L'Oreal Group. The L'Oreal Group is a listed company and has over 23 brands including Maybelline New York, Biotherm and Lancôme. L'Oreal is celebrating its 100th anniversary and has therefore extensive experience in developing and manufacturing personal care products. The brands under the L'Oreal are sold in 130 countries.
According to L'Oreal this is a restorative conditioner and will mostly benefit long dull hair. It should restore you hair texture and nourishes and revitalizes the hair. What makes this conditioner stands out is the gloss booster. There's a additional protein in this shampoo that every time you wash your hair will become smoother but also shine a little bit more. It should nourish the hair from top to end.
You can use this conditioner after you have washed your hair with shampoo. After the shower you can use the conditioner but always be careful by how much you need. A little bit of conditioner is enough for the hair. This conditioner is white/pearly of colour and smells really fresh. I notice a little bit of flowers but it's not a strong smell. The conditioner is quite thick and feels more like a crème but it is easily spreadable. Using it is very easy as the bottle works fine. You have all the information like ingredients on it and some instructions.
After using this conditioner I can really see a difference in my hair. I have long hair and if I don't treat it with the right products it gets unmanageable. I simply need a conditioner and I'm very happy with this one. It's very easy to use and you only need a little bit to use every time. It spreads very easily but more important you can see the effect. My hair looks more healthier and didn't feel as weak anymore. I can see the shine in my hair but just a little bit. It just looks healthier and well taken care of and especially when you go with your fingers trough the hair you can feel how soft it is. It's a great product for 2,50 pounds which you get 250ml.
I've just written a review for the shampoo that goes with this, so I thought I had better review the conditioner too seeing as I normally use the two together!
Like the shampoo, it feels light as well as creamy when you squeeze it out onto your hand and you don't need too much.
I only ever leave it on for about a minute if that and then rinse it out. It rinses out really well leaving no residue in your hair at all.
It smells nice but the smell is quite faint which I like as some conditioners make me feel a bit sick! The conditioner is a light pink colour (a little lighter than the shampoo) and the bottle is a bright pink colour.
At about £2.50 for 250ml it's priced quite competitively against other "everyday" conditioners and it is also often on offer with the shampoo which brings the price down even further.
I find my hair dries much quicker when I use this and the shampoo (it seems to retain less water), and my hair is always gorgeously shiny and silky when I use this product so I'd really recommend it!
I have already reviewed the shampoo and some of this will sound a little similar but I'm going to repeat myself a little for those who will not be reading both!
I recently coloured my hair with a semi-permanent colour and really like how shiny the double strength conditioner which is included made my hair and really wanted to re-create the look without having to re-apply the colour. I wasn't sure what to do but a random trip to boots drew my attention to L'Oreal Elvive Nutri-Gloss Light Shine Conditioner.
I was drawn to this particular product due to its claim of possessing a "refreshing shine booster" which sounded like exactly what I was looking for. The conditioner bottle is almost identical to the shampoo bottle, being baby pink with lime green labels, but the conditioner cap is on the bottom of the bottle which is a typical feature of L'Oreal Elvive products. I purchased the 'light' version of the product which is identifiable via the lime green ring around the lid. I've read that some people do not like the green and pink colour combination but I think it really suits the scent which is citrus and pearl.
The shampoo claims to be for "mid to long, fine hair, that gets greasy" my hair is extremely long and does get greasy but is actually extremely thick and not fine at all. I chose this shampoo about the non-light version because my hair really does get greasy quickly and figured it wouldn't really matter if my hair type didn't match the hair type description exactly. The description on the bottle says "CLEAN & WEIGHTLESS FEEL, MIRROR SHINE, CASHMERE TOUCH" and I have to say I was utterly delighted with the results.
I bought my shampoo and conditioner from boots as there was an offer on (2 for £3) but individually a 250ml bottle costs £2.55. There are larger 400ml bottles available (not on the offer) which costs £3.59 (prices are the same for shampoo and conditioner). Tesco and other places will sell this stuff but I prefer boots as I think the boots advantage points are brilliant.
Like I said in my shampoo review, I believe the products results were down to the use of this shampoo so I really do recommend using them together.
The conditioner is a pale pearly pink colour and is a similar consistency to the shampoo although it is dispensed through a slightly smaller hole in the cap (not that this makes any difference to the conditioner, just thought I'd make my description as thorough as possible!) like I said, I used the conditioner straight after I had rinsed out the shampoo and applied it to my hair as I normally do. I rub the conditioner between my hands and apply it to the end of my hair and then rub it through the rest of hair all the way to the roots. (I've read other reviews that say putting the conditioner on the roots does not work so please remember that I have very very thick hair and that's what my review is based on.) You can't really smell the citrus in the shampoo but it does come through a little more in the conditioner which is nice. And once you are out of the shower, you can still smell it which is nice.
Whilst I was rubbing the conditioner through my hair I could feel how soft it was and when I rinsed the conditioner out, I really believed the "cashmere touch" claim that appeared on the bottle, and when my hair was dry I was still amazed by the results! My hair was really soft and didn't have any knots in it, and it actually did have a shine to it! I'm not sure I could describe it as "mirror shine" but there was definitely a difference as even my boyfriend noticed!!
Overall I rate this product 5/5 because for once a product really did what it said on the bottle! I know I'm getting a little repetitive but I want to stress that I think the results I saw were because of the conditioner!! But I did like the shampoo too. I recommend this product 100%.
Why this conditioner
This was another conditioner I have tried in my quest to find another conditioner that suits my hair following the change to the Herbal Essences range. I bought this along side the shampoo in the same range a month ago when Sainsbury's had the L'Oreal Elvive range on offer for 2 bottles for £6.
What is it?
This conditioner is part of L'Oreal Elvive Nutri gloss light range for mid to long fine and claims to have a refreshing shine booster from pearl proteins and citrus. The bottle packaging contains various claims including "Mirror shine and a cashmere touch" the pearl proteins in this conditioner are supposedly designed to reflect the light and smooth the roughed up cuticles of the hair, this is to create a smooth, soft surface of the hair that looks shiny and reflective and is soft to the touch. The conditioner also contains a Citrus formula which is to smooth the hair and give it a reviving shine without weighing it down.
The pink plastic bottle has pink and green writing on it. The green parts are to highlight this is the lighter version of the product. The bottle has a flip to lid for easy use and is recyclable.
I think you need to know my hair type so you can compare it to your own to see if this review will help you decide whether to try it or not so here goes. I have long straight shoulder length hair that is fine but there is lots of it so it is quite dense which means it can end up looking heavy and lacklustre so as this conditioner promised softness and to remove deposits and claimed to be lighter than most conditioners I had high hopes.
The conditioner is a baby pink color with a sort of glistened quality to it which I think comes from the pearl extracts. Texture wise it is very smooth and silky to the touch and when rubbed between my fingers leaves a silky feel to them. Smell wise there is a floral note to the product rather than a citrus smell which I was expecting. The scent whilst it isn't over powering is strong enough to take away the chlorine smell that my hair takes on after swimming so I am very impressed by this.
The bottle tells you to work the conditioner through the lengths of your hair to the tip and then rinse. To do this I needed a good size globule the size of about a walnut. Working this through my hair was quite easy really as my hair was tangle free from using the shampoo in the same range. I left this on my hair for a couple of minutes to soak into my hair before rinsing it off. Whilst on my hair it smooth and sleek to the touch and almost like a hair treatment mask. Rinsing this out took a couple of minutes to ensure all the product was off my hair. My hair during this process remained tangle free as the bottle promised.
Once dry my hair felt very soft to the touch and smooth there were no rough sections in my hair at all. So the smooth soft surface claims appear to be born out by this conditioner. When I was using the Herbal Essences range I would find given the length of my hair I normally only need to wash it every two days as this tended to be enough to keep it clean and stop it getting either too greasy at the top or too dry in the length. I have found the same with this conditioner too as my hair has remained soft and smooth and glossy for a couple of days.
As to the mirror shine element of the conditioner promises it certainly is shining now yes you can't admire you reflection in my hair but it does appear to catch the light better and have a wonderful natural health glossy look to it.
Over the course of a month of using this conditioner with the shampoo in the same range I have noticed my hair is certainly healthier looking and less prone to grease which is a fantastic bonus for me. I have been using a 400 ml bottle over the course of this month and using it alternate days and there is some still left in the bottle so I am pleased with how long this last me as well.
As a light version of a conditioner it has been excellent and at no point whilst using it has my hair felt heavy with too much product or over chemically in any way.

Overall and recommendation
This conditioner gets a big thumbs up and 5 dooyoo stars from me as it lives up to all the claims on the bottle. Since using it my hair has been less greasy, tangle free and looks glossy and sleek with a healthy shine to it. I will certainly be purchasing it again and in all likelihood I will stock up on this product when it is on offer.
This is available at most chemists and supermarkets and costs around £3-£3.50 for a 400ml bottle.
This conditioner is the most perfect thing for 'night-out' hair ever! My hair needs some volume, but most volumising conditioners leave it feeling a bit gunky, so I decided to go in the complete opposite direction and use something light, and it's made my hair feel really bouncy! This doesn't weigh hair down at all, and it shouldn't get as greasy as quickly as it might with heavier conditioners. And it makes your hair like 'oh my god' shiny!
It comes in a pink, shiny bottle, with dark pink and green detailing on it. It specifies that it is a light formula, made for fine hair that gets greasy easily. It costs around £3, but there's usually some sort of deal on for loreal, so shop around. The product itself is a light pink colour, and is fairly runny, it doesn't feel that thick. It smells really good once you've got it on your head, kind of fruity, and makes your hair feel pretty silky as well.
Once you've blow dried and styled, you really should notice a difference, I did! My hair was soooo shiny, nothing else before or since has ever made it that shiny. I can't use it everytime, as my hair is quite dry, but for me, before a night out, this is perfect for gorgeous bouncy, silky, shiny hair. So if yours is greasy, it'll be perfect. I can't recommend this enough, if you've got greasy hair, go get it!!
I have long, fine hair that is in desperate need of volume, but when i use conditioners for volume my hair gets terribly knotty (which is where my tangle teaser comes in handy - see review). My hair is also bleached blonde so needs tlc. This kind of product is the ones i tend to stay well clear of! If you also have hair that gets greasy you will have experienced that shine is the last thing that you need in your life...until this Nutri-Gloss Light by L'Oreal!
I saw that my housemate had the shampoo and conditioner and was shocked that she was using shine products too, but at a closer look , the 'Light' collection is for 'long, fine hair that turns greasy quickly' i thought wow it may as well say for 'emmie_louise_g'.
I cheekily gave it a go and it had a nice smell, sort of fruity but subtle, and the conditioner itself was a light pink and quite a runny texture, probably because i am used to ones for volume.
I was told by my hairdresser to always apply conditioner to hair that is as dry as possible (for in the shower) if you squeeze out as much excess water first then the conditioner has more chance of soaking into your hair, as water acts as a barrier. Try this method if you don't already, and you will notice the difference.
So after this one sneaky try i bought myself a bottle and i think i have found my match! i think i paid about £3.50 in boots but have seen offers on since, so keep your eyes peeled.
If your hair fits the specification then i'm pretty sure this product will work for you, and it is from a relatively cheap and trusted brand! Saying that i do still tend to wash my hair most days but i don't HAVE to.
While browsing the reduced items shelf in my local Tesco the other day, i came accross this L'Oreal Elvive Nutri-Gloss Lightconditioner (and the shamppoo) for 58p, reduced form nearly £3! So I bought a few bottles of each, not really reading the labels. When I got home I was delighted to discover that this particicular one was for "Mid to long , fine hair, that turns greasy." Well that's my hair! I tend to only use conditioner very occaisonally as I find it weighs my hair down and makes it look greasy within a day or two, but I decided to try this out straight away.
I first washed my hair with the Nutri-Gloss Light shampoo, then followed with the conditioner. As soon as I put it on my hairI could feel it smoothing and conditioning, the texture of my hair seemed to go from rough to silky beneath my fingers. This of course happens with most good conditioners, but for me it's usually a sign that they will make my hair all greasy looking, so I was rather dubious at the time - despite how nice it felt!
I let my hair dry naturally and even as it dried I was impressed that it felt less weighed down than when I have conditioned it before. When fully dry I was very pleased the result. My hair is soft and not weighed down at all by the conditioner. Two days later and still no sign of greasiness, which for me is pretty amazing!
The only dissapointment I have with this range is that my hair does not seem to have the "Mirror Shine" that the products claim to give, but my hair isn't at all shiny usually so I wasn't hoping for much. However it does claim to make hair shiny and hasn't so that's where this product has lost a star.
To summarise, I was very happy with the L'Oreal Elvive Nutri-Gloss Light Shampoo and Conditioner and would even consider buying them at full price!
