L'Oreal Elvive Smooth-Silk Intense Anti-Frizz Shampoo
Advantages: Smells nice
Disadvantages: Smooth result but added unwanted volume to my hair
I have very thick hair that tends to be frizzy, so I thought I would try the L'Oreal Elvive Smooth shampoo when I saw it on the shelves in the £ shop. The bottle is clear and comes with a flip top lid that is easy to use and does not leak when stood on end in the shower, it is also easy to dispense the right amount of product for use.
The shampoo is a golden, thick liquid that smells sweet, but not flowery. I use the shampoo in the normal way, wet my hair, apply shampoo, clean hair and then rinse. I find that I need about a 50p sized amount of product for my hair to get a good lather going. It lathers up well and makes my hair feel a bit fluffy, it is easy to rinse out and leaves my hair smelling lovely and sweet, without being over powering.
The shampoo is designed to give people with frizzy hair a smooth look as it contains a nutritive micro oil that contains a smoothing element that L'Oreal have named Nutrileum, which is supposed to absorb into your hair fibre taming the frizz and smoothing your hair.
I was disappointed in the overall result as though it did leave my hair smoother, it seemed to increase the volume of my hair, which is rubbish for me as my hair is already very thick, as I said when I was using the shampoo for the first time my hair felt fluffy, and so the overall result did not work for me, I have given it too my husband to use, so at least it will not go to waste.
Overall I would not recommend this product to others, though it did reduce my hairs overall frizzyness, the resultant volume did not impress, therefore I give the product 1 star.
