      A nice if pricey shampoo

      A surprise package...
      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
      I went away on holiday last year, and when I returned a box was waiting for me at my neighbour's house. I had no idea what it was, but on opening it I was delighted to find a new shampoo, conditioner and intensive treatment. The funny thing was I had no idea where they had come from - I wasn't sure if I'd entered a competition to win them or if I had somehow got my hands on the some other way - but of course I wasn't going to question their origins too much!
      The range is relatively new and includes the three products I received. The shampoo retails at £5.99 for a 250ml tube (although it is on a Two For £9 offer in Boots at the time of writing), which is more than I would normally pay for a shampoo, so I was eager to give this a go! It is designed to smooth and moisturise hair.
      Rich and luxurious
      This comes in a chunky, squeezy tube which sits on its lid, and is a nice mix of brown and gold colours. The shampoo itself is a nice, rich and creamy texture and it has a bit of a luxurious feel to it. Applying this to my hair, it takes a bit more effort to lather up than other shampoos I've used, but I put this down to the rich texture. However it feels quite nice to use. It also has a nice, clean scent that I would associate with hairdressers. It isn't fruity or flowery - it seems like a more grown-up shampoo fragrance!
      Again, washing this out of my hair, you can definitely tell that this is quite a rich and luxurious product. It definitely leaves my hair feeling clean and smooth after use, and I can tell this is a more expensive product than others I have used. But having said that, I think other cheaper shampoos I have used that are designed to moisturise my hair have had similar results. So although this is a good shampoo, and it is quite luxurious, I am going to knock off one star as I think it is expensive at full price, and I've used other shampoos that are as good as this for about half the price. And I am unlikely to buy it again I think - unless it was on offer!
      I always use this with the matching conditioner, which I will review separately.
