L'Oreal Nutri-Gloss Conditioner
Advantages: Hair is soft to the touch
Disadvantages: Made my hair feel heavy and looked lank and greasy
Why this conditioner
I bought this conditioner along side the shampoo in the same range a month ago when I had forgotten to pack my usual conditioner to take on holiday
What is it?
This conditioner is part of L'Oreal Elvive Nutri gloss light range for mid to long fine and claims to have a refreshing shine booster from pearl proteins and citrus. The bottle packaging contains various claims including "Mirror shine and a cashmere touch" the pearl proteins in this conditioner are supposedly designed to reflect the light and smooth the roughed up cuticles of the hair, this is to create a smooth, soft surface of the hair that looks shiny and reflective and is soft to the touch.
The pink plastic bottle has a flip to lid for easy use and is recyclable.
I think you need to know my hair type so you can compare it to your own to see if this review will help you decide whether to try it or not so here goes. I have long straight shoulder length hair that is fine but there is lots of it so it is quite dense which means it can end up looking heavy and lacklustre.
The conditioner is a very light pink color it is what Dulux I am sure would describe as white with a hint of pink if it was paint. There is a shinny quality to it which I assume comes from the pearl extracts. Texture wise it is very smooth and silky to the touch and when rubbed between my fingers leaves a silky feel to them. Smell wise there are floral notes to the conditioner and it has a lovely fresh scent.
The bottle tells you to work the conditioner through the lengths of your hair to the tip and then rinse. To do this I needed a good size globule the size of about a walnut. Working this through my hair was quite easy really as my hair was tangle free from using the shampoo in the same range. I left this on my hair for a couple of minutes to soak into my hair before rinsing it off. Whilst on my hair it smooth and sleek to the touch and almost like a hair treatment mask. Rinsing this out took a couple of minutes to ensure all the product was off my hair. My hair during this process remained tangle free as the bottle promised.
Once dry my hair felt soft to the touch and smooth there were no rough sections in my hair at all. So the smooth soft surface claims appear to be born out by this conditioner. However unlike the light version of this that I normal use my hair felt as if it had been left with a residue on it despite it being well rinsed. This heaviness meant that I felt my hair needed to wash again the next day unlike with the light version where I can wash my hair every other day.
As to the mirror shine element of the conditioner promises it certainly did leave it looking shining but to me rather than this looking like a healthy shine as the light version leaves my hair. This felt almost like a greasy shine similar to the shine my hair can take on hot summer days. Now this isn't a good look I don't think. I continued using it whilst away on holiday for a week and was washing my hair every day due to swimming despite trying to use less product my hair always ended up looking greasy heavy and lank despite feeling soft to the touch.

Overall and recommendation
This conditioner gets a big thumbs down from me as it left my hair feeling lank and whilst the conditioner did live up to its softness claims this was fair outweighed for me by the greasy shine my hair took on. Due to my hair type of fine but lots of it I have to say I prefer the light version of this as this for me gives me the soft and healthy shine I am looking for.
This is available at most chemists and supermarkets and costs around £3-£3.50 for a 400ml bottle.
Summary: I preferred the light version as this one felt too heavy for my hair making it look lank and greasy
