I purchased this for £9.16 (+ £2.95 P&P) from Amazon for a nice big 250ml bottle. The reason being it was so convenient to just tap in online and with a click, purchase it, rather than trawl round the salons looking for this particular mousse.
A friend of mine had this and the principle reason I also wanted to get this was the gorgeous smell - like soft apricots, not a cloying smell at all (unusual these days in the what seems to be a mass production of sickly cloying chemical enhanced hair products). This aroma truly was a breath of fresh air. What's more upon applying to freshly washed hair the scent of it truly did cling to the hair and linger lightly too for quite some time.
Onto the results of the product; L'Oreal claim that this product is a lightweight voluminsing mousse that will not weigh your hair down and the strapline says professional, which does give you an idea that it is what the experts use. I used about a walnut sized amount and that was sufficient on shoulder length hair. Being a child of the 70's and a teenager in the 80's I have to admit to 'scrunching' my hair to get that desired volumised look lol. However I am sure some of the more technically able peeps on here (i.e. those that can straighten their hair with a hairdryer would use the product slightly differently!) However, the overall result was; it dried well into the hair, without drying it out. Gave a nice shine, smelt great, gave bounce and volume, without leaving a sticky residue on either my hair or my hands. To top it off the style lasted all day.
Overall I am very pleased with this product. Although I spent somewhat more than I like to on mousses, this has lasted ages. I have found that a little does do the trick, both in terms of styling the hair and keeping that hold and by not weighing the hair down at the ends.
A quality product; which I would definitely use again despite the price. The added bonus you can get it online on Amazon, so it is quick and easy to order and I think eBay may do it too. If you shop around you can get it for less than I paid.
**** 5 Dooyoo Stars - I give this five stars for product quality.
What is it?
This is a strong hold mouse that is applied in a spray rather that a big ball. It comes in a white can, with a directional spray nozzle on it, this is what makes it so different to other mousses. It is used to create volume and hold to your hairstyle.
The directional spray nozzle is useful because it allows you to choose where to spray your mouse by creating sections in your hair using your fingers. This means you could concentrate on you crown if you only like fullness on top etc.
Sometimes when applying traditional mousse you end up with a big ball of it stuck to one section of hair.
How do you use it ?
When using Volume Lift mousse you apply it to towel dried hair concentrating on the root area, this is so that you can create volume at the roots but leave the rest of the hair feeling natural and flowing.
How does it make your hair feel?
Another great thing amount this mousse is that is doesn't make you hair feel sticky and heavy like some other mousses do.
Overall I think this mousse is on of the best I have used, I cannot see why no body else has changed the way it is applied to you hair as this technique (directional spray) has been around for years.
This mousse is from the Tecni.art hair range by L'oreal , it has very similar packaging as the rest of the range, it is in a white can white black writing across it, noting special but doesn't look horrible.
You can buy this from most hairdressers that stock L'oreal and probably of the internet as well.
The price is generally about £9.50 for 250ml
One little tip though .... its always freezing when it comes out , you would think its been in a fridge.
