Buy it because you're worth it? Nah, not really.

When I had my haircut recently I noticed that the hairdresser used L'oreal Professionnel Tecni Art products to style my hair. Being a professional, she did a wonderful job of adding loads of volume to my hair and really bringing out the top layers that she had cut into my hair. I thought there was no way I'd be able to recreate the look at home myself as I'm a bit cack handed when it comes to using a barrel brush and a hairdryer. So she advised me that the quickest and easiest way to style my hair myself would be to use large rollers on dry hair and a fixing spray.

So I bought myself some rollers and I selected this spray because it said it was designed to be used with rollers and it was for thick hair. I never thought that my hair was particularly thick, but the hairdresser told me that's what I had so I believed her. I must say that the hairdresser didn't pressure me in the slightest to buy this product; it was totally my own choice after a fair bit of research.

The rollers I bought were Large Denman Thermo-Ceramic rollers and they're brilliant because they self-grip so they're quick and easy to use (that's a little bonus review for you!). The rollers are heat activated, so I chose this spray because it's also heat activated and I thought it would maximise the results.

The spray comes in a 125ml white plastic bottle and has a plastic cap for the spray head. The spray comes out in quite a concentrated squirt and not a fine mist, as it's designed to be focused on the roots and lengths.

These are the Directions of Use:
      -------------------------------------------
      * Apply L'Oreal Professionnel Tecni Art Pli Thermo Fixing Spray to your dry or damp hair
      * Spray it to your hair from 15-20cm distance
      * Style as required

And this is how I use it on my hair when it's dry:
      --------------------------------------------------------
      1. Take sections of the hair the same width as the roller and apply the spray to the roots and along the length of hair.
      2. Wind up the hair in the roller so it's as close to your head as possible.
      3. Spray a little bit more onto the rolled hair.
      4. Use a hairdryer to blow-dry the rolled hair for a couple of minutes so it sets the curl.
      5. Carefully unwind the hair from the rollers.
      6. Use your hands to loosen the curls.

First of all, I love the way this spray smells as it's not got a harsh chemical smell. The lovely smell lingers on my hair all day so I feel like I'm wearing a nice perfume.
I do get good results with this spray as my normally dead straight hair becomes full of volume and bounce. The curls I achieve look natural and once I've loosened the curls with my fingers, the hair is very supple. My only gripe with this product is it makes my hair 'crunchy' after I've applied it and dried my hair, but this disappears after loosening the curls.
The spray is easy to brush out and I've found that my hair isn't greasy the next day, which is a definite plus point.

However, this spray is really expensive and not readily available in shops like Boots or Superdrug. I bought mine online for about £9.00 and to be honest I don't think it's worth the hefty price tag, so I won't be buying it again.
