WHAT IS IT?
Shampoo that has been designed for older people to use, it says that it will stop their hair being brittle like happens when you age.
DOES IT WORK?
I think this is very good shampoo and it makes the hair very clean but I do not see a difference when I use it to wash the hair of my client. She has got 100% grey hair and it is very wiry and stiff sometimes, she is 80 years old and I think she has got beautiful hair and takes a lot of pride in making sure she looks nice always. She first used Serie Expert Age Supreme shampoo at her hair salon and when she moved all of her beauty needs to me she requested I add it to my price list because she liked so much how soft her hair feels after she has used it.
WHAT I THINK
I am not very happy with this shampoo because it does not make any difference to my clients hair and I think that L'Oreal should be ashamed that they sell something to make older people feel like it will help them to gain back their youth when it won't, there is not even anything in the ingredients that would make me think of this shampoo working and it is a placebo only for my client.
It leaves the hair very clean and I only need to wash my clients hair once for clean results so it is effective as a shampoo but it does not give the hair greater density like it says on the bottle. You do not get very thick bubbles when you use this shampoo but it feels like it is cleaning deep into the hair and also the scalp, it is very easy to rinse out and does not leave any residue in the hair and I am happy about that because grey hair is very hard to rinse sometimes.
I think it sometimes does not remove all of the traces of hair styling products and that is a pity because all of the other Serie Expert shampoos I have used have been very good at removing hairspray and other styling product residue.
Serie Expert Age Supreme shampoo costs £7 for a 250ml bottle, my client likes it very much so I continue to buy it but I do not think it is value.
