Advantages: cheap, big range of colours (33), little goes a long way
Disadvantages: may have to bleach hair first, fades quickly
I found my Directions in Anna Bees in Birmingham for £3.99 and bought 2 pots of Flamingo Pink and 1 pot of Violet. I recommend using a tint brush or toothbrush for the roots (although I have used just my hands before) and also get yourself some rubber gloves before hand. I'm lucky in that we have a big box of disposable medical gloves in our house. Also smear anywhere you don't want stained (ie ears, neck, cheeks and forehead) with petroleum jelly (vaseline) before you start. I have very short hair so I only use abut a 1cm layer of dye out of the pot each time and find it is very easy to rub in. I have only used the pink so far but have tried mixing the pink and violet together to see what it looks like and it creates a very nice dark pink which I might use next time. I don't bleach my hair first as I have naturally medium blonde hair. on the tub it says to leave on for 15 minutes which I did but the vividness of the pink only lasted one wash and then faded. My friend recommended leaving it on for at least half an hour, so I left it on for 50 minutes and am pleased with the result. I try not to wash it every day but after a few washes it loses it's brightness on any hair that isn't naturally very light. I would say this would work better on bleached hair so if I try it I will write another review to confirm.
