For Christmas my lovely mate gave me a £25.00 gift voucher to use in Toni & Guy salons as part as my Christmas gift. I didn't need a hair cut or colour or anything so I decided to purchase a few of their higher end hair products as a treat for myself as I had a do to go to for New Year and wanted to glam my hair up a bit for the party!
I suffer with limp hair that can go very greasy at the roots within minutes after styling it. It is also prone to frizz and in general is very unruly and naughty!
When in the salon I decided to ask at reception for advice on the lines of products that they sold and also what would be best for my hair. I explained about my lack of volume etc to a hairdresser who helped pick me out some products.
I already knew that I liked this Label.M range of products as I had tried one in the past and loved it so after perusing the range for a few minutes this was one of the products I opted for!
200ml steel coloured cylinder shaped can with a black plastic lid that fits securely over a black push button sprayer. On the front of the can I'm told it is Label.M 'Professional Haircare' Volume Mousse/200ml 'Volumising, protects against colour fade' and the website address is stated for the company which is www.labelm.co.uk. On the back of the can other information includes being told a bit about the product, I'm told how to use it and ingredients and contact details for the Mascolo Group Ltd are listed (the manufacturer of the product). It's a nice looking professional can and of course on the back of the can we are told that this product (and any others from this Label.M range are only sold in professional salons).
A Bit About The Product According To The Back Of The Can:
Label.M has been developed for professional stylists under the creative eye of a dynamic international artistic team - led by Toni & Sacha Mascolo, whose expertise in creating innovative hair formulations; backed by education, is where fashion meets iconic styling with transcultural appeal.
Designed for all hair types/lengths using a blend of silicone's and sunscreens, this backstage favourite is brilliant for volumatic lift at the root and simply giving any style a distinct, edge-driven texture.
Directions For Use:
Spray on damp hair, working through from roots to ends with a comb or fingers, blow dry for volume and texture. Washes out easily.
Me Using It|:
Well this is incredibly easy and straightforward to use. The nozzle attatched to the can has a little length of plastic shooting out of it which means after you've shook the can up a bit you simply direct it to the roots of your hair.
I apply this to damp and freshly combed/brushed though hair and it sprays out as a very light white foamy and wettish liquid that is very easy to direct indeed. It has a sort of sea fresh aroma to it opposed to being sweet, floral or fruity or anything and in my opinion this is totally suitable for either sex's to use and that fragrance stays fresh and light on the hair all day long.
So you gently spray a little out directly onto the roots and it absorbs ever so quickly. Any bits that don't absorb you simply run it through the hair from root to the ends and that's ever so easy to do with your fingers or whatever!
Then for best results I gently blow dry my hair, lifting at the root for extra volume and definition. It's a none sticky formulation and not only does it feel soft and make hair feel super silky it gives a lovely and natural shine on the hair too!
Above all it's easy to work with and really does work ever so well. It doesn't boost hair too much and you are always in control with this product and yep I notice a difference to the texture of my hair, the shine and it really doesn't only add volume temporarily but once you use this and set it with a little hairspray or fixing spray the style and volume created stays for hours!
This makes my hair bouncy but you do need to work with it and fix the style in place etc. I really do like this product though and feel that in the case with this product you get the quality you expect for the price your paying. You don't need to use very much of this product at all per application and yes it does wash out really easily too!
